Seems well suited for the job, very heavy &would be ideal on a drill press
I will update after using, but arrived very fast, nice wood box, stones of 120 grit 180 220 & 320 grit. Bought for bore honing three virgin 60mm cylinders to 60.400, will update when finished. Update: Some of the stones have the steel backing incorrectly affixed so they wont fit in the mandrel. The 120 grit stones aren't flat on the back plate, so they rock in the mandrel, totally useless. After much screwing around I got a cylinder overbored .0020", but on the final strokes the tool kept chattering in the bore, so I've got a perfect bore with chatter marks in two places. Fortunately they are below the rings so no performance degradation, but it sucks that they make a potentially excellent tool so poorly that it fails at it's designed task. Maybe You'll get a good one. I had to take this one apart, file smooth all the slides, change the spring retainers, & file the backs of every stone, but now I'm boring 19 thousandths within a quarter thousandth tolerance! Bore with 120 grit to within .0030" Finish boring with 180 grit to .0020" Rough Hone with 220 to .0010" Finish Hone with 320 grit Plateau with a clean WD40 soaked ScotchBrite pad vertically just once down & once up to cut the peaks off the honing scratches, don't twist or spin in the bore or You'll be smoothing the valleys that hold the oil. I'll be buying the 50mm to 75mm next, overall best tool for the job under $500

worked as it should
I needed a proper hone for my grandson's KLX110 that had scarred the cylinder. I have used an AMMCO brand for years when I was in the powersports industry and this was the closest I could find without spending big money. I used the included stones and cleaned it up perfect, finishing with the finest grit. Other reviews suggest that the arbor will not fit in a 1/2 inch drill chuck without grinding it down. That is true if you have a cordless drill. I tried my Ryobi, Craftsman, and Porter-Cable. However, it did fit in my corded DeWalt which uses a much larger 1/2 inch chuck than the cordless ones. It would be great if I could get some larger stone carriers for larger cylinders than the 65mm units I ordered. The tool itself should be the same as the other tools I have used were, just use wider stone carriers for larger cylinders.

troublesome hone
i think this is a poorly made cheap product an could not recommend it to anyone, 1st one arrived damaged and second one broke during first use and is now being returned to amazon

It worked
It’s a good deal when compared to the price of a name brand hone. However, the end of the driver kept shearing the pin. I finally just welded it solid. Second, some of the stones came cracked. Luckily it was not the ones I needed. If name brand stones fit this, that’s what I’ll buy for replacement stones. Otherwise, it’s heavy and feels of good quality. It does a good job of making the cylinder round again.

Good constant pressure cylinder hone well worth the money
Good stuff. This is a real constant pressure cylinder hone. Includes a good supply of different grit stones. I've used Sunnen and Lisle constant pressure hones in the past and the design on this one looks very familiar for a lot less money. This is the only way to make your cylinder bore round. Don't let any of those three prong glaze breakers or ball hones near your engine if you're building for performance. Also true the new stones in a truing sleeve prior to use or use them in a cylinder in a junk block to round off those sharp edges before using them in your good cylinder.

What I said
Stones break easy when inserting them.

Poor results with hand drill
The drive shaft is too large for 1/2" chuck so had to grind down the flats in order to try it. I started to use it and found the stones did not stay bottomed in their holders even though clamps were tight and it had a sloppy feel to it and was awkward to move. I stopped using it and ordered a Lisle 15000 as I was afraid of damaging cylinder. I had a Lisle 15000 before and it is much easier to use with a portable drill and gave excellent results. I regret this purchase and will not return it as I modified the driveshaft. Use a Lisle for a portable drill!

Shipping was very quick, happy about that. Unpackaged the hone and found one of the 120# grit stones was cracked/broken. These stones are very important because i always use a coarse stone to hone the cylinder close and finish hone it to a final size. Not even sure where i could get stones to fit the hone. Haven’t used it yet but not a happy customer.

Used one time and one of the stones broke. Still worked fairly well but I can't seem to find replacement stones.
