Works well. bought it to cook steaks in the electric smart oven I have.

I tried to e-mail Lodge suggesting they make a small batch biscuit baking pan that will fit in a toaster oven, e.g a rectangle 9X7. This "serving" plate cooks perfect biscuits in my toaster oven. Although Pampered Chef makes an amazing bar pan that is the right size for toaster ovens the clay material can't cook perfect biscuits. If your looking for something to use in your toaster oven to bake biscuits this bakes them perfectly even if they must be crowded into the oval shape.

Works just like a cast iron pan. Bought it to put in the oven style air fryer to sear. Wonderful results. I also have used it in the regular oven!

It’s made by Lodge. If you are a cook and use cast iron pans you must know the brand. Makes the best steaks and meat. A true sizzling pan. Everyone who eats my steak asks how it is done and why it is so special, then I show them the pan. A real bargain, will last a lifetime.

I absolutely love cast iron but I must say I do miss the old smooth surface that used to be used on the pots and pans.

This is used, not new. It even has some burner marks on the underside. Has a few rust spots, too. Not very happy with this purchase. Wasn't as expected. No tags and wrapped in kitchen style plastic wrap. Don't recall being notified that it would be a used item. What's worse, because I have Celiac Disease and cast iron is a notorious means of cross contamination, I have to soak, strip and scour it down then, repeatedly reseason. Had I known that was going to be the case, I would have shopped for one at garage sales and paid 1-2.00. I feel I am entitled to at least a partial refund on this item for the unexpected labor I am going to have to put into it before using. This is why I buy all my cast iron new - unused. It's a very important detail to some of us. As is, it could make me sick.
