Since the paper is not coated, I’d generally say no. If on the other hand, you planned on keeping them warm in a very low temperature, they’d probably be okay.

Are these made of wax paper?

No. I used them for cookies and the oils bled through immediately. Still worked well enough.

Are the 3x 5 big enough for a breakfast sandwich made of an English muffin?

Probably not. Reynolds makes a wax paper sandwich bag that would be big enough and it is generally in my grocery store.
