First step towards Robotics but Giant Leap for our learning
I am always extremely fascinated with robotics and want my son to learn this technology. We together now formed a research team to start developing our robot Martin :-). We are playing together and learning together with this Avishkaar kit and really enjoying this journey. Still now I am able to give him some interest and develop our car which can move in a circle. Thank you Avishkaar for the kit and well described book let. It make it so easy to complete your first project of RC. Only thing I may request if you please addone ultra sonic sensor in basic model. Overall it's a fantabulous item. Thanks again :-)

Bad product design
This is one of the worst products I have purchased recently. Waste of Money.1. The motor power requirements are too heavy for 9V battery. - for any project battery will not last more than 10 minutes if you use Duracell. The Eveready and HW 9V last for 2-3 minutes only. If the battery voltage drops to 8V, then motors move vertically, and the project fails. )Already spend more than 1000 on batteries.2. Assembly of the components to make simple projects are difficult, the screw and bolts are very specific to this project and we cannot use standard tools (like - or + screwdrivers). The screws keep dropping and losing as most of the time we have to put it in very difficult gaps.3. Wifi is very unstable. It keeps disconnecting. On Android - Wifi keeps asking for a password when pressing wifi button on the remote, I was never able to connect. On iPhone - is keeps disconnecting every now and then. Very difficult to operate.4. To register Aviskar site is another tedious task. They ask you to register and send a OPT with only 10 seconds to put OPT. By the time you receive the message and are ready to put the OPT the resend OPT screen is already on.5. You will download the Aviskar maker app and then that app is again needed to register. So once you provide the username it keeps registering. " Registering Your email - Wait " and wait never ends. Only End task of that app works and you keep repeating itself.6. I thought it was an issue with my board, but then I returned and got a new board. The problem remains the same.7. No. of projects are very limited as there are not many commands you can use with this board. I suggest spending some more money and buying a raspberry pi which will give you more options.8. They only return the device. No refund is available so now I am stuck with this device which generally does not do anything.

Good one for kids to learn basic programming
I bought it for my 6th grader daughter's science project. After assembling, the product initially didn't work when we configured using iPhone. I dialled the customer care number and they told me that I should try using Android. It worked well on Android phone.Pros1. Interesting toy to keep the kids engaged with assembling the stuff and creates futuristic outlook in them.2. Assembling the robot took some time but it was easy to look at the manual and do it.Cons1. The new battery is showing red color low level all the time.2. Wifi gets disconnected frequently. Also everytime the robot is restarted, you'll need to reconnect wifi.3. Battery drains very fast and the one you get in the package is not a rechargable one. So you'll need a number of additional batteries purchased.4. Configuration set up using iOS is too bad and confusing user experience. So consider only android.

Great DIY Kit for Kids to Learn
A really nice kit for kids to learn the basics of mechanics and programming. Good for child’s learning and development. The only thing is the price seems too steep for what you get, but overall good work!

Average product
Overall I felt it is a average product, a bit on the expensive side for what we get.Pros:- kids will get exposure to latest technology easily- Both logical and fine motor skills of the child will get improvedCons:- Nut bolt provided is not easy to handle, keeping kids mind could have done better job- could have given an internal rechargeable battery for the head, external battery drains in no time, as a result kids won't get much playing time- ARC app does not work with mobile phone which does not a sim in it. We get 'disable mobile data' error in this case- felt little expensive for what we get
