I used to use this product a decade ago or more, so I decided to try it again. I’m on a budget and need a white girlie tan! 😆 This in-shower lotion was under $10! I’ve always liked the tan I get from Jergen’s gradual self-tanners, both the lotion and this product. I feel like this one is a little quicker to develop compared to the regular lotion. I attached a pic of my leg 3 days apart. I applied “medium to deep” after my bath 2 nights in a row. I noticed a subtle glow the first time, and now I think I’ve achieved the light tan I was going for! I don’t want to look too dark or fake, so now I’ll just maintain it by applying it every 2-3 days. It doesn’t stink nearly as much as others do. It’s a little perfumey, but I like it. I haven’t gotten too many streaks or patches. No color on my clothing or sheets. When I wake up, I smell a faint fake tanner smell, but it washes away. If I can’t shower right away (like when I have to take my son to his bus stop), I just wipe off with wipes and use a smelly lotion…. It works! My tips: Apply it to freshly wet skin, but start with a quarter-size amount. I do my upper body first, use the leftover on my hands to apply to my face, then do my lower half. I avoid going between toes and fingers. On the second night, I also avoided my knees, ankles, and elbows. If you have dry skin, apply a small amount of regular lotion to those areas first (even on damp skin). Scrub any areas that look too saturated to achieve an even tan. Slightly orange in pics, but in person it has a healthy glow and looks richer! Makes me feel more confident in shorts and at the gym. ☀️

This is a great option for those of you who like to tan, but don’t like the stickiness of using a self tanner. Once this dries, your skin feels really soft and moisturized, but without that clammy stickiness associated with a self tanner. It does have the same scent, honestly any brand that says that it doesn’t smell like tanning lotion has been a liar so far in my opinion, lol. I don’t always follow the instructions because I don’t like putting lotion on dripping wet skin, so I normally dry off really quickly leaving myself kind of damp and then putting the lotion on rinsing my hands off and letting it dry because I don’t follow the directions occasionally it’s a little bit streaky, but worth it for me. This gives a nice non-orange color.

Product itself (Fair to Medium) works great. Super easy to use right after you turn the water off in the shower/bath. Definitely provides color and feels soft; however, BE SURE to use a towel to dry off or you WILL see streak lines from water dripping off your skin...and it's not always easy to blend even when putting additional lotion on to try and hide the streaks.

There is a learning curve to all self tanners. I have been using them for years due to skin cancer years ago. I use gloves and put on skin in a circular motion so there will be no streaks. Self tanners may streak if you rub it in a vertical or horizontal manner. Rub, rub, and rub until all the lotion is soaked in. Afterwards, take a dry washcloth and rub knees, backs of knees, ankles, wrists, armpits, and neck while gradually rubbing into the surrounding skin. You don't want the lotion on those areas but you don't want to take off the lotion on the surrounding areas so just do a gradual rubbing. Even with gloves, you will get the lotion on the wrists, so pay close attention to rub off the lotion on the wrists. If you have sunspots, freckles, moles, and other spots on your skin, remember it will also turn those areas darker, which is the reason I do not put it on my face. I usually put on self tanners right before bed and wear old long pajama pants because it may rub off on your clothes or sheets. By the next morning, the tanner will have worked and you can take a shower. You will see brown tanner run off your skin in the shower, but don't worry because the tanner will have already started darkening your skin. It may take some practice, but If you follow these instructions, you should develop a flawless and pretty tan. I usually use the tanner about once a week in order to keep a good tan. Also, you can still get sunburned, so use sunscreen. Now you can have a pretty tan without damaging your skin in the sun.

My favorite self tan! I’ve used all fake tans from the $60 foam to the $10 lotions. I was skeptical at first but it’s by far the easiest to apply with results in a few hours. There is no smell, minor streaking if you’re rushing (mainly lower legs) but doesn’t stain your towel or clothes. Will use forever!!

I honestly have no idea how this should be properly used, because per the instructions ain’t it. I’m Casper levels of pale and use the non-wet glow version yearly, so I’m used to using a similar product for a gradual tan that makes me look pleasingly less like a cadaver. I decided to give this version a go three days ago and it has been a hilarious series of WTFs ever since. I did my shower thing including gentle exfoliation and, per the instructions and common sense, applied evenly to my damp skin. I let it soak in completely while I got ready for a wedding. Thank GOD I was wearing a midi with long sleeves, because, within an hour, I was Gob from Arrested Development: “I’ve made a huge mistake.” Pros It certainly does add color to your skin—probably 3 shades after first application Not too orangey Moisturizing Mehs Ok maybe a little orangey Cons No matter how you apply (and I’m a massage therapist for gods sake, it’s the one thing I am sure I can do), you will look like a Jackson Polluck painting and/or like you peed yourself and the pee tracks removed the color, but all over Will I be returning it? No, because I have convinced myself I can fix this and have had some success strategically applying to completely dry skin and standing like a statue until it dries. I’m way darker than I was aiming for after two applications but I’m hoping I’ll cover the most inconsistent spots before my naturally tan SIL can give me the “oh honey” face when we get together in Mexico in three days. Stick to the normal formula; it’s tested, tried, and true.

Love this gradual tanner — easy to apply right after a shower and no rinse needed. Leaves a natural, streak-free glow in just a few days but does still have that self-tanner smell. It honestly is worth it for me because it is better than other tanners I’ve used. Perfect for keeping some color year-round. Will definitely continue to purchase.

Love this. Usually buy when in the US but happy to find on Amazon. Perfect to apply on wet skin after a bath or shower. Gives the perfect natural tan. Would not be without it.
