Cute, Fun, for kids
I wouldn't recommend this for older kids, like teenagers. They might still enjoy it if they haven’t used drones before, but I think it’s a great toy for kids aged 6 to 9 who are getting into flying drones. They are tiny and the rechargeable battery runs out quickly. However, the battling function makes it really fun!

Fun!!
This is a great first drone for kids. It’s really fun! It can do fun flips in the air and it actually goes pretty high. It is easy to figure out the controls. The only down side is that the battery only lasts about 15 minutes before you need another battery. We usually have one plugged in at all times and just switch it out.

fun and easy
great to learn on. very easy to learn. still fun though with three speeds. it's nice that you can calibrate them so that they hover in place for the most part. it's fun to zap each other out of the sky. i got these drones to practice on for a real out-door drone and the practice has been great to build muscle memory. very fun and cheap. just get them

Great customer service. Not a great drone.
I purchased a pair of these drones for my kids to use. I tested them and found that they really did not work well. Neither one hovered or held position well and they were both pretty much impossible to control and not any fun at all. I returned them and purchased a pair of Potensic A20's which were both much, much better flying and lots of fun.Potensic customer support reached out to me after I posted a review and asked if I'd be willing to give the A21's another try. They also included instructions about how to trim the flight control. I agreed and soon had another pair of A21's in hand.Unfortunately, the new pair of A21's was nearly as disappointing as the first pair. One of them had the exact same very poor uncontrollable flight as the first two. No amount of trimming or adjustment per instructions made it any better or even controllable. The second one did perform better. I was able to adjust it and get it to be somewhat controllable. Even though it is more controllable it is not fun compared to other models. After 30 seconds of so of flight the controller starts annoying beeping (even with fully charged drone battery). Also, the drone needs a calibration for *every* take off. That's a pain.I was not able to test the IR battle mode as only one drone works. The acrobatic flips and other flight modes do work reasonably well.In comparison to other models (namely Potensic A20 and UDI U46) the best A21 I've had does not hover as well and is much harder to control. For comparable price and size I'd go with the other models.5 stars for customer support. No stars for the drones themselves. 3/5 stars overall.

So easy to learn. And small enough to use indoors
My grand son and step dad spend hours battling. Backup battery really extends play time. They are small enough to use in the house which makes it nice with this crazy weather

Did not work -- Twice
No good, like really bad. Very disappointing. Tiny delicate-looking battery connectors on smaller-than-expected drones, all very 2019. But maybe the fighting mode will be fun. However never got to try it as one of the controllers -- shown in the photo complete with Quality Control Passed sticker -- did not work. The batteries worked in the other controller, the other controller paired and flew the drone, etc etc. Returned and exchanged for a completely new box (thank you Amazon). And a few days later — same thing. Junk. For the price it's especially painful. The one drone that did fly drifted, and control was fiddly. Low quality and durability all around. Not recommended for kid play. Returned this box for a full refund (again, thank you Amazon).Hope my two trips to UPS to return the packaged up boxes weren't wasted time, as maybe you can learn from it! Hope this review helps you to keep clicking, onward to something fun and easy in your drone search.

Cheap, hard to fly and short battery life
Bought these for I think 60 bucks? Gave to my 7 year old for Christmas. They barely charge king enough to “battle” they are difficult to fly because the remote buttons are so cheap they get stuck in positions.

Hard to control
It is hard for the kids to control them and to understand how to use them
