OK
It's definitely OK but don't expect to feel very warm, our room is quite small but it does 'take the chill' out of the room. As for cost, yes it's cheap, it costs 25p per hour to run, this is on a standard tariff on a prepayment meter, with the biggest UK electricity supplier. Make sure that you have nothing blocking the flow of heat, unfortunately all our sockets have something in front of them so I've purchased an upright extension lead to move the heater to the middle of the room. For under £15 it's good, it's compact, small and looks good, but again don't think you are going to be very warm.

Good value, small and portable, a variety of heat settings
It is very cheap to heat a smaller room with this. Throws out a lot of heat but surprisingly the meter shows only a few pence used. I like to set it to 18C at low power so then it is mostly off but comes on again at intervals to keep the room temperature from falling too low.

Ideal for a small room
Brought for my small kitchen which I can plug in on the wall. The heater warms the kitchen very quickly even though it gets very cold in this frosty weather. Apparently cheap to run too. I am very happy with it.

No circulation
The heat doesn't circulate you only feel it if you are right near it

Cost effective Heating
The Russell Hobbs RHPH7001 700W heater is one of our favorite small appliances. It's incredibly energy-efficient, consuming very little electricity, and it starts giving off heat right away when you turn it on. This makes it perfect for those colder days when you need quick warmth without waiting. What we love most is its affordability. It’s a budget-friendly option that helps us save money on our energy bills. However, it’s important to note that this heater is best suited for smaller rooms. If you're looking to heat a larger space, you might need a more powerful option.Overall, the Russell Hobbs RHPH7001 700W is an excellent choice for anyone needing a reliable, cost-effective heating solution for smaller rooms. Highly recommended!

Even after many hours of use, it literally stinks of chemicals
While this little heater does heat up my room well, from the first hour of use to the 50th hour of use, the smell it gives off, chemical and unhealthy, has not gone away. I wanted to give it a chance, new things often smell, but after all this time I can only it put it down to some very questionable materials used in its construction. Given what I have learned of where Russel Hobbs has moved all it's production to, I am sadly not surprised and will not be buying from this company again - and this is not just a problem with this heater, all my recent Russel Hobbs purchases in the last three years has been of bad quality, damaged, or like this heater, leaves me fearing it is down right toxic. This brand is not what it was.

Handy portable heater
I use this in my kitchen which has an undersized radiator and gets pretty chilly in the winter. 20 minutes of running this makes it pleasant to be in before starting cooking.Haven't noticed a spike in the electricity bill, so seems to be an economical solution too.The fan is quiet, so you don't really notice it when running.Highly recommended!
