Very good, although it puts the tail light a little low to the ground
Unfortunately, you can't use the excellent Cygolite seat post mount that ships with your taillight if you have a step through frame. Transport requires a cross frame adapter. The entire weight of your bicycle will rest on the seat post mount and your mount will get smashed or knocked off.I tried this bike rack adapter first. It cost 4.95 USD when I bought it and I rated it as OK. But I didn't like how low to the ground the flasher was. I returned it and bought the Cygolite saddle rail mount in it's place. That turned out to be a serious downgrade for me. The saddle rail mount fits very badly due to its poor design. Please see my lengthy review of the Cygolite seat rail mount. Both options work, but I'm revising this review to say that this rear rack mount is the better option if your individual situation allows. The design is very good. The fact that your flasher ends up lower to the ground is inherent in the mounting location and is unavoidable. However, do consider the fact that any bike rack mount will leave the flasher exposed to all the water and muck thrown up by the rear tire. You should be a "dry weather only" sort of bicyclist or have a capable rear fender.

Great fit for rear rack.
Solid mount for fair price.

Perfect for attaching the Hotshot!
Perfect except I'm going to have to pick up replacement nuts and bolts. I can't get the bolts to tighten the gadget to my rack. It's secure but it's loose. And I'm thinking since I have to get replacement bolts I might as well get them long enough to attach the gadget to the milk crate I have ziptied to my rack so I can raise the line of sight. (Don't get grossed out by my milk crate. It's grey so it matches my bike AND it works great hauling my groceries which is sometimes 6-2 Lts of diet soda!) Anyway- the gadget is perfect and maybe you have the right wrench with which to tighten the nut. I was using needle nose pliers.LATER: I got lazy and used blk zip ties to connect the gadget to the crate. It's sturdy and the zip ties match and it saved me a trip to home depot. I'm really happy with the light being higher up. I like the gadget because I can just snap off the lite and I don't have to worry about anyone borrowing it!

Works great...time will tell...
While I don't like to rate reviews on shipping I must say that this item came 2 days before the expected time. Excellent. Now, the mount itself is great. If using on a Topeak Explorer rack you will come across some difficulties if you don't heed my warning. Here is how to install:1. Use a ratchet screwdriver with a 5/16 nut.2. Make sure that the hex portion of the screw is facing in the same direction of the light (don't place the nut under your Topeak rack).3. Use a 5/16 bit4.. Scrunch your hands and finger tips small enough to get under your Topeak rack and begin to turn. This is made out of a decent amount of plastic. Nothing extremely durable. If I was riding a mountain bike I'd probably have to buy a few more spares considering the bumps a MB takes. For my hybrid I think I should be fine, even though there are those occasional pesky pot holes. My main concern with the plastic is the outer side of the nut. As you begin to tighten the bolt from underneath your rack the outside plastic will being to wrap and strip. Just be sure to not tighten too tight.I use this with the amazing Hotshot SL 50 Cygolite rear back light. I love this combination. I've been riding for 5+ years and I'm not sure why I haven't purchased this combo sooner. I highly recommend this mount. As you can see in the pictures there are 2 options for where you would like to place the mount. I chose the higher area of my Topeak rack so it wouldn't bump my tire if I hit a crazy hole. Something that hard would probably damage my rim but just in case....

Two bucks, 10 minutes, and one screwdriver and you can make your own (much better) rack mount
I have a Transit brand rack, and this mount does not work on that type of rack. I know what I am doing with tools, installation, etc. and it just is not going to work on this rack in a way that is secure without drilling additional holes or using additional clamps, and even then I don't think it would be very secure. So, I went to the hardware store, spent 10 minutes looking around, paid $2, and got a way to put the Hotshot on my rack that was easy to install, looks nice, and is very secure. My one star isn't because it didn't work on my rack, it's for the crazy rude response I got from the company, "Trail This." In fact, I wouldn't have bothered putting up a review but for the way they responded. All I did was write and say something like, "This mount doesn't work on my rack, can I have a return authorization?" and the response from the accompany was "it is what it is…." "Other customers were able to make it work…" And we can't "make a mount that fits every dang Chinese rack ever made. It is this or zip ties. You should contact Cygolite if you do not like their product."Well, I love the Cygolite Hotshot, it's Trail This' product that didn't work and then whose response was so rude.I've not gotten a return authorization yet.I got a rubber plug with a hole in it from the hardware store, slit it open and put it around one of the rack's bars. Then i used the clamp that came with the Hotshot that is for attaching it to the frame, and clamped that over the rubber. It's on absolutely solid. Looks nice. Two bucks, 10 minutes, and one screwdriver. Zero rude customer service. Here's a picture showing the light attached, and I'm holding up a second rubber plug so you can see how it went on the bike./Users/ingridlobet/Desktop/20140113_201004.jpg

Useful Cygolight Back-Rack Mount
Normally I mount my Cygolight tail light to the seat post of my bicycle. When items are piled up on my back-rack, those items sometimes block the Cygolight. That is when I move the Cygolight to this auxiliary mounting point on the rear of the back-rack. It works very well! I am 100% satisfied with this Cygolight mount!
