A Light Intro to a Heavy Book by a Serious Author
Do pay attention to the title on this offering. This is not the original work from 1933, it is "Selections from . . ." Readers who recommended this work to me, and authors such as William S. Burroughs and Robert Anton Wilson who are constantly quoting from the original book and championing the author as a linguistic genius that all others should only be judged against, convinced me to give this a read. I'm loaded with plenty of "to reads" already, and the usual distractions of life, so I thought this abridged version would do fine. I think I was right. I would definitely recommend this to the casual or curious reader, but, for more academic or scholarly use, I would suggest purchasing the real deal, as I probably will at some future time. The introductory remarks and preface clearly delineate which sections and what material have been left out, and I think this page can be viewed on the Amazon description . . . not sure, but if you are that concerned, give it a try. I would, do, and will recommend this work to the readers and for the purposes mentioned above.

Good book
In my opinion, this is the best book to study and understand General Semantics. If you dont want to read a 900 paged original book, so this is a great solution. I give 4 stars because General Semantics hasnt a scienetific explanation of proccesses in human behavior, but its still has a good provided linguistic technologies like the extensional techniques and so on. If u want know more about the *behavior* than study the field of behavior analysis.
