The Guardian of the Night Tarot: A 78-Card Deck and Guidebook

A truly stunning Tarot card deck
I love animals and always like a deck that is skewed more towards nature than people. The artwork has a beautiful dreamy, sometimes trippy quality and I find the cards themselves give lots in their pictures to interpret and use for intuitive readings (I'm relatively new to Tarot, so I'd class myself as a beginner). The book is a little different as the artist talks about her reasoning for choosing certain animals and symbols, which might irk some, but there always followed a more detailed and traditional explanation of the card too.Really beautiful cards and I'm so pleased that after weeks of research and shortlisting, that I chose this deck.

Good quality
This deck is so so so beautiful, the art is so creative in the way it depicts the rider-wiate deck, and the cardstock is so nice and strong and easy to shuffle. The matte finish is also really nice to touch as well as the size of the cards (they are larger cards - like oracle sized)I so so so recommend buying this deck if you resonate with it!! I personally really connect with it so far :) the guidebook is also really helpful and offers origional takes on card meanings while still spinning off of the og ones.Thank you very much MJ Cullinane for such a wonderfull deck to work with!

Beautiful deck and booklet
I adore this deck! I personally prefer cards that are thicker card stock. Unfortunately, the edges of the cards are slightly scuffed after only a few uses although this is not a dealbreaker the art work is gorgeous! The devil card I didn’t resonate with. I understand there are shadow aspects, good and bad in nature and with animals although I feel a different word auto could be used to this describe this energy within nature. This is just personal preference, I personally don’t believe in the devil and I generally prefer more genre spiritual or Celtic, pagan decks.I’m looking forward to the Förhäxa Tarot as this deck is heavily elemental, whimsical, magical, and I feel it’s heavily associated with pagan and general spiritual elemental imagery and energy. After reading the description of the Forhaxa tarot I’m really excited for the deck to be released as it speaks to witchy soul. Personally I think it would be great that the forhaxa deck to exchange some of the major arcana for more spiritual terms. For example, the devil and the hierophant could be changed to elemental water and air spirits, Celtic, pagan deities or folklore as I feel the deck is heavily associated with those elements and would make a great major arcans!

Absolutely beautiful artwork!
I fell in love with this deck. Everything about it is so beautiful! I'm new to tarot and really only using it for affirmations, so I can't say whether or not the images are representative of each card, but there is a book included that includes the artist's reasoning behind each image.
