Reliable voltage regulators
These regulators are as expected, no issues or defects so far when replacing old ones. Make sure you are looking for L7805 or L78S05. These are the 1.5A if you want for more efficient ones such as L78S05 you may need to search more. These ones works well for old consoles or equipment using these versions of regulators

Great regulation
I have successfully used these on several projects. They work well. The voltage is controlled between 4.9 and 5.1 vdc easily. I have accidentally shorted these out without realizing that the short was occurring and they withstood the abuse. They get pretty warm (as in hot) so use a means to cool them if you are running them near capacity. My load is just enough that I went to two - they are so inexpensive and running at half capacity assures longer life.

Good items, no anti-static bag
Ordered these and I'm happy. They are the L7805CV and output 5v. They did not come in an anti static bag. A few pins were bent but not horrible. All are usable parts. I set up a test circuit per the datasheet figure 5 except using 0.46 uF and 0.93 uF capacitors (tested values with multimeter.)The output ranged from a low of 4.88 v and a high of 5.02 v which are exactly within the limits stated in table 10 of the datasheet for the L7805C. The table ranges from 4.8 v to 5.2 v for output. I did not have a load on the output for these tests. With no load, the minimum input voltage before the output started to drop was at 5.7 v or 5.8v. And I ranged my test from 6v input to 12v input. See attached pictures for the range of outputs I saw. Half of them were in the 4.95 v to 5.02 v range for output.I have not used these in any projects yet.

Standard component, works as it should
Received these regulators promptly. Shipping time was great and free (Prime). Faster and cheaper than DIgikey and seem to be equivalent. Most have already been incorporated in small circuit assemblies and are doing well

Worked as described
I am giving a correction review here: I had tested these regulators without using capacitors, while using battery power.I have used and tested many older regulators under the same number coding: 7805CV . They did not require capacitors on the input and output to stabilize. These 5 volt regulators tested within the standards they were designed for, but while using 0.33 mf on input and 0.1 mf on output pin as shown in the standard circuit.

2007 F150 King Ranch Speaker Pop fix
These worked great to resolve the "Speaker Pop" on my F150 King Ranch that happened when you shut the truck off. I only needed one so I have 19 spares.

7805's are great, just pay attention to your circuit and don't ...
I have several of these working on a daily basis in various projects. Sometimes for dropping automotive power down to 5v or for merging 5v and 12 v led projects. 7805's are great, just pay attention to your circuit and don't overload them. They are rated for 1.5 amp continuous current but I get better results at ~1.2 amps. Less surging and little to no heat buildup.

Items came well packaged
This voltage regulator was exactly what I needed to mount onto the heatsink of the Synchronous Generator!
