I bought this product for my son’s front door he has three little girls and this will be good to make sure they don’t open the regular door lock is just an extra security.The lock is 4" and metal construction with strengthen screws, it says is designed to withstand 1000 Ibs of force, that I don’t know yet, but it’s very good for the purposes we need it for.This product was very easy to install. The locking mechanism operates smoothly and has a fairly slim profile when not engaged, very easy to install and this thing works really well.Overall very strong! Easy to operate, firm grip and stylish design, very well made and good value. I would recommend this latch to anyone who needs to secure a door.

I installed two of these on my door, one above the deadbolt and one below. My dog accidentally flipped the lower one in to the locked position while I was gone so I had to swat kick the door in. It ripped the door frame in half breaking the screws that were in the bucking. They definitely increase door security but beware if you have a spaz dog with separation anxiety that may have a fit at the door and accidentally lock it.

I bought this because my autistic toddler is an escape artist and has learned how to unlock both the deadbolt and regular lock on our door. This is SO easy to install and she can not figure it out either no matter how hard she tries. This is 100% worth every penny

The product works as described. Some reviews talk of thier door 🚪 frame proples. The gap, the adjustments. That's not a product review, that's a home structural improvement concern. 👏 The product is sturdy easy to install and does the job (well, no one has tried to kick my door in yet, fingers crossed). Two things I don't like is the simple, seemingly random o ring (silver o hook) provided, screws in to more easily open it, doesn't match, so that stands out.Also it's kinda silly, someone breaks into the glass portion of the door a swiftly observes the o ring and pulls. That's a pointless design. Should have indented the hinge.Lastly, should have included more longer screws.I would buy again. That's if someone tries to break un and this actually stops them. 😉

I use these to help with my mom who has Alzheimer's. It has saved her from wandering twice already, and has held up despite her trying to yank the door open at 6am - so hard that the banging sound woke me up! I know they're not really meant for this purpose, but it really is wonderful for helping to avoid sending someone with Alzheimer's or Dementia into a rage. Instead she just gets confused and irritated, and I am able to redirect her. I've made sure to never, ever let her see me locking or unlocking them, because you never know what might stick in her memory, and then I risk her wandering away and getting lost outside. Our street is fairly busy, and she could easily get lost or hurt. It has saved me endless anxiety and worry. Nice quality of material, nice price.

The product quality looks good and I like the way it hold the door. Only major problem is the screws they provide to install this lock on the door. It is so cheap quality that you can damage the head of screw and then you have to figure out how you take that screw out or push it inside door frame. I struggle a lot and eventually using my own better screw which is black color in this picture. The silver color screw are come with this product and it’s cheap quality so I suggest to use your own screw so you won’t go with the hassle I went through.

I have had these types of locks in the past and these are of a way higher quality. Not to mention they are an inch bigger than the standard and also can handle 200 extra pounds than the standard. To say these locks Exceeded my expectations is an understatement. I paid more money in the past for a single lock of this style and these Mousike locks make my old one look like a toy. If you are handy I would drill, tap and screw the finger hole to the lock. Aside from that, these are perfect in my opinion. I am not being compensated in any kind of way for this review.
