Acclaim 97BK Direct-Burial Lamp Posts Collection Smooth Lamp Post with Photocell & Convenience Outlet, 7', Matte Black

I got this for an out of the way installation and a sturdy iron one for the front of the house. I wanted Aluminum because it doesn't rusk but would have preferred and paid for a thicker version. I ordered the black color and that's what I got. Some other manufacturers of these aluminum posts sell a dark brown version as black so it was nice to get what I ordered.The downside is that this is so thin that a kid leaning against it will bend it permanently. A large dog running up to it likely would also. If you put it in a protected area such as surrounded by bushes, it's a good quality product and a fantastic value that will provide years of service. If it's in a place where people will mistake it for a pole they can lean on or chain a bicycle to, I don't see it lasting a year.

Extremely solid post. As of now everything I want in it it has and couldn’t be happier. The only thing I’m worried about is the plastic on the photo sunscreen device and outlet breaking down eventually.
