The build quality of the unit is comparable to dongles / hubs that cost around $9.99. Quite poor. Plastics don't align with the aluminum parts, feels rather cheap. It would be fine, if the thing was not $80+. It does, however work. So far, everything I've tried with it, has worked. HDMI works fine, USB ports work, microSD card reader, RJ44 (ethernet) port works; so it gets the job done. After doing quite a bit of research, this was the most complete unit I found for under $100. With 3 USB-A ports, a USB-C PowerDelivery in, power passthrough AND another USB-C port for data (or daisy chaining another USB-C Hub), it really is quite complete. And on top of that, it'll keep your laptop vertical, allowing for it's air vents to be unobstructed, and take up less desk space. I do not need nor want the audio inputs and outputs, this will be used in a mixing studio and one of those USB ports is going to be dedicated to a Hi-Res audio interface, I also couldn't care less for the full sized SD and microSD card slots. I would've preferred a higher quality product that these 4 "functions"; but all in all, this works, does a good job and I'm happy I got it.Also it is dual monitor out but it can only output the SAME content onto both the VHA + HDMI port; downgrading the HDMI to 1080p
