This is a great tool for looking for shells and fossils! You allow it to float along (it's clipped to you via the handy cord) and you scoop up sand or dirt and put it on the screen. From there it nicely sifts out the little stuff and leaves you with a good look at your haul. So much fun for both adults and kids!

Nice sturdy sifter to help with finding sharks teeth and seashells. We had tried using colanders from our kitchen but that just wasn’t good enough so we sought out some better options after seeing others use tools like these. It’s well made and looks to be able to last a lifetime of shell hunting and the wife was extremely excited to get this as a gift. It was very easy to complete the assembly, though it came almost completely together already. We just had to put the noodle pieces on it and it came with everything needed for some easy sand sifting at the beach. Looking forward to using them real soon.

This is a durable sifter. It’s bigger than I thought it would be. Great value for the money.

Small, but it worked great

I purchased this to bring to Venice to search for sharks teeth. I scooped big piles of sand on here and watched as the smaller stuff went right through the holes. This included shells and shark teeth that were not big enough to not get passed though. There were several times I went to grab a shark tooth only to watch it fall though the grating and be lost. I ended up using a plastic sifter from my son's beach toys instead. This sifter is fantastic if all you want is the BIG stuff but if you're like me and excited to find it all, this isn't a good option. I wish the grating was smaller because this would have been nice to use.

This is such a great idea & easy assembly, bought for my BF b-day to use for shark teeth sifting. Cant wait to use it!!
