The Glif is a smartphone accessory with two primary functions: mounting your phone onto a tripod, and propping your phone up at various angles. The design is simple, yet out of this simple design emerges countless uses. Mount your phone to a tripod for taking great pictures or making movies. Prop your phone up to watch videos on the plane or check Twitter while you eat breakfast. All of that and more in a compact design that is manufactured in America. The Glif is made from recyclable rubberized plastic that feels great and plays nice with your phone, and is small enough to fit in your pocket, purse, or backpack. It has a 1/4"-20 thread that fits any standard tripod or camera mount. The Glif will work with practically any smartphone, with or without a case. Use the included hex key to fit the Glif to your phone. Once sized to your phone, you won't need to make any additional adjustments. The Glif will fit devices between 58.4–86.4mm wide and 3.1–12.7mm thick.

The best mount for smartphones.
As a fan of the older iPhone 4/4S era Glif, when I moved back to an iOS device, it was one of the first things I looked for.Tripods are a big deal. In another lifetime I got very serious about photography and learned enough to even make some money from it. I learned breathing exercises and odd positions to minimize camera shake, but your body is not very stable, no matter what you do. The Glif is one of the most secure and handy ways to get the best out of the fantastic camera in your iPhone. There are some alternatives on the market that are a little cheaper, but they generally aren't as useful or portable. Also the Glif can act as a stand by itself, so if you can find a counter, rock, or table to stick it on, you don't even need to have a tripod with you to get the benefits of one.In addition to improving low-light photos, it allows you to do things like use the time-lapse feature on the iPhone, take group pictures with you in the shot (selfies!), or long exposure with the right software.

Great product for video nuts like me! Brilliant design! Made in the USA!!!
Love this thing. I am officially a repeat customer of this company. I purchased the glif for my iPhone 5 and now I have this one for the iphone 6. It's a completely new design, but has some interesting features I was glad to discover. at first glance I was confused a bit, but it soon came into focus. It's actually brilliant design! I don't have to take my phone case off to use it. I love my otter box case and now I can use this glif without taking it off! This is a huge feature for those who like to shoot video on their phone. I actually purchased this to help me make more review videos and it fits the bill perfectly. Attach it to a little gorilla pod or a full on tripod. Hold it in your hand or prop it on the table. You can beat it. Ok, now the confusion part...Look at the info on the custom box!!! It took me a bit to realize that you need a tool (allen wrench included) to make the adjustments on this unit. Once you do though, you can almost set it and forget it. I haven't tried putting it on my keychain because when I did that with my previous glif, I almost lost it, but if you want to do that, you certainly could. Anyway, I'll do a video with my other camera and show you a little of what this thing does when I get a minute. Great product for video nuts like me!

An ALMOST perfect phone mount.
This is a great little phone holder for use with a tripod. Its quick to set up, and will hold your phone securely, enough so you'll have no concern with it slipping. It can be used as a stand for your phone on a desk or other flat surface, to hold your device at an angle, or as a tripod mount to hold your phone securely for time lapse, timered, or just steadier photos. You adjust the glif using an included allen wrench. There is an adjustment on each end, one for the tripod setting and one for the desk style setting. Once you've dialed it in you can put the allen wrench away and your Glif is ready to go for that device. If you have other devices you'll need to adjust this each time you change devices. This will fit a very large range of devices. Including devices with cases. However todays larger phones may cause issues. this will fit an Iphone 6s+ easily. But if you put a case on such as a lifeproof, then you'll find the Glif just barely functions and not very securely. Anything smaller than that will work fantastically.

Perfect for the iPhone 6
Perfect for the iPhone 6. You can slide your phone in and out and it is really low profile so you can easily fit it into your pocket, even if you have the tablet-sized iPhone 6 Plus.

Great Product, Well Designed
Works perfectly with my iPhone6! I've used it with my Titan II tripod and the Glif was even able to hold the iPhone at a 90 degree angle for portrait orientation. I found it best to adjust the Glif with just the right amount of grip strength to allow for the phone to slide into it for landscape orientation (from the bottom of the phone so that you don't glide over the control buttons on the side), and then tighten the Glif with the phone in it if you need slightly more grip for portrait orientation.I also bought the Manfrotto Mini Tripod for desktop video making and the Glif works perfectly there too. Plus the angled ends really do work well to enable the Glif's stand-alone stand function. For example I've used it to prop up my phone on a table in portrait orientation while having pizza. Sounds trivial but a real bonus when you're on the go and catching up on messages on a lunch break somewhere.I can't speak for its durability as I've just received it but it feels very solid and well made. So for now despite it being a bit pricy; considering its very practical design, multiple functions and that it's excelled at everything I tried so far - plus the hex key adjustment tool and keychain holder it comes with - I'm giving it 5 stars.

It's a new-fangled C-Clamp for your smartphone
This version of Studio Neat's "Glif" adjustable tripod for your smartphone is an enhancement of the original which was for the Apple iPhone only. Buy this version if you have any version iPhone, Android or Windows Phone. It works very well with the popular series of Gorilla flexible tripods because they contain adjustable ball heads and flexible legs that work well with hand held smart phones because they are as small and portable. The camera app functionality on smartphones have improved to the point where you can take high quality photos in low light. Exactly the situation for which a tripod mount like this comes in handy. If you purchase a tripod with a panorama swivel head, this attachment will enable you do these wonderful panorama, and other special effect photos even better. It's just a wonderful photographic gadget, not new by any stretch of the imagination. An inheritance from my father, who was a professional photographer, was a handheld Kodak C-Clamp with tripod ball head. Not much new under the sun, but this reincarnation of the C-clamp will make you smile when you see your improved pictures.Oh! I bought 4. One each for my daughter, son, my son's girl friend, and ......me!
