As an experienced sewist but newbie quilter, I found the projects in this book to be very accessible and very well laid out. Quilting comes with its own vocabulary and processes and so the book provided a nice gentle but thorough introduction to the world of quilting. The projects are not only well explained but they are fresh, modern and stylish. I particularly loved the idea of creating a cohesive set of handmade items for around the home. The authors use of colour is on point! If you know someone who thinks quilting is uncool and unstylish - give them this book and they will immediately change their mind! Out of all the quilting books ive bought or gotten from the library - this one is my favorite.

I love this book. I was hesitant at first, but, I’m so happy I ordered it. Detailed instructions and plenty of pictures. A very good buy and an essential book for your quilting library.

This is a must have book if you are new to quilting or an experienced quilter. The fabrics used have a fresh look in decorating and additional color ways described. There are so many projects with detailed instructions and additional ideas to use in your home. I also have her book, Urban Quilting, and find her quilting very refreshing.

This is the second book I have purchased by Wendy Chow. I am new to quilting but have had encouraging success with Wendy's patterns. This book is beautiful! The patterns are fresh and creative and she shares some modern and unique color combinations..so inspiring and so easy to follow with her graphic illustrations. This book focuses on quilting small and traditional pieces for home decor. This book is a must have...I'm a fan!

I was drawn to this book for two reason: the Never Far Apart Matching Throw quilt and the color way themes. I am inspired to make matching throw quilts or oversized matching table runners to display on my dining room wall and to feature in my guest be room. Tell my quilting friends about this book.

Wendy hit it out of the park with this book! It is visually stunning with all of the beautiful projects. I love how she created different color palettes for those quilters who have a hard time visualizing a project in their own style/color. The variety of projects are also fabulous. She has included those that can be made in a day, for those who want a quick finish, as well as larger and more challenging projects for the seasoned quilter. This book is a keeper and a must-have for all modern quilters. And if you’re not a quilter, it makes a beautiful coffee table book that just might inspire you to become one.

I have the first book and love it, so I was thrilled to see another set of patterns! I am fairly new to quilting so I still have many things to learn, and I love the way this book lays out tips and tricks along with the patterns. I am working on the heart pattern for our best friends that are moving away soon, and it’s going so well thanks to easily understandable cut and piecing directions. Plus, she provides various color ways that fit any design I could want!

First, this book is beautiful - from the lovely photographs to the layout, I’m smitten. The amount of Beginners projects are many and each more creatively amazing than the next. Each project can appeal to any aesthetic. The instructions are clear and the descriptions make me want to dig right in and feast on new techniques. As a beginner to the world of quilting, this book simply got me excited to get to work on my first project!
