Love this product, put on my yellow grass and it turned green, happy customer, will buy more

This is great stuff, it really strengthened my new grass in the spring, unfortunately, it wasn't enough to save the new grass from 90-100 degree heat in the summer... No matter, I will use it in the fall this time, the optimal time for planting new grass.

This product advertised greening the lawn in just three days. But I chose to give it 2 weeks before I write a review. I applied this fertilizer on May 30, 2025 and I took this photo yesterday roughly six days after I mowed the lawn. This fertilizer has done the magic. My grasses were growing so slowly that I didn't have to mow my lawn in three weeks. I was also considering reseeding my lawn because the lawn seems thinning out. But since I applied the fertilizer the grasses are growing so rapidly as well as greened as advertised. Overall I am more than happy with this product.

Ok product. Did not green up as much as as it should. We have had plenty of rain. Maybe large amounts in small area. I went to my farm & got some urea & my lawn makes everyone jealous.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I have purchased this so many times. My grass is thick, dark green, and I no longer get weeds. Ps: this was new construction, didn’t really have grass, just dirt and rocks. It’s come such a long way. I use this product about every two months. The neighbor came by and asked what we use on the lawn because he pays a company & his doesn’t look as good as mine. Worth the cost.

I adhered my grass first then put this stuff and watered like at least 50 minutes a day in sections. I used a hand dispenser since the big ones are too expensive.Our grass has always been hard to look full in our apartment, but this stuff definitely helped! This is a day 3.5 difference (:

This product may not work for every lawn across the country. It depends on a state’s grass type, the condition of your lawn, the season you’re in, weather conditions, if you’re watering your grass properly, the intensity of the sun, and so on. I applied this fertilizer to my grass on the first day of autumn 2024. After 3 days, I didn’t see much of a change. The lawns around my neighborhood have been dying since early August. My lawn maintained some of its greenness because I water my lawn at the recommended times, which are: 3 times a week, between 6 am and 9 am, and for 30 mins each time during the hot summer months.We’ve had a hot summer where I live and there were a lot of sun-scorched lawns. Still, I wouldn’t stir people away from purchasing Scott’s Green Lawn Max because I have seen several videos (that were all “non”-promotional) that showed how effective this fertilizer can be if applied by following the instructions on the bag closely. I still believe that the best way to maintain a green and healthy lawn is by mowing it properly and not too short, watering in the early morning instead of the afternoon and evening, raking and dethatching, aerating, and using fertilizer sparingly 3 to 4 times out of a year—the best times being early Spring, twice in the summer, like in June and then again in mid-August, and one last time in late October or November just before the cold weather sets in if you live in chilly winter areas of the country.I can only give this product 3 out of 5 stars because it did not make my lawn greener in the 3 days the manufacturer claims. However, that’s not to say it may not work for someone else’s lawn in a different part of the country under different circumstances.
