The plunger/stopper mechanism that attaches to the inlet/ outlet and the hoses is complete garbage. The attached fittings will never make a proper seal due to the cheap plastic, and threading which slips. However, the set might still be a bargain, as the inlet and outlet aren't bad. The seal that comes with the set works great, and these combined are still cheaper than an oem set. You decide.

I purchased an Intex c1500 pump without realized the hose size was larger than the valve size on my intex metal frame pool. The pump comes with the nozzel that pumps water into the pool, but not the nozzle that takes water out of the pool. This kit comes with both meaning I now have an extra which is fine. Only other thing to note is that if your pool has smaller valves, you need to cut a larger opening to accommodate these valves. This had me nervous, but the instructions with the product show you what to do and there are lots of videos online showing you the steps. In reality, I cut the holes and installed the values in a few minutes. Easy. One tip, while most of these products tell you to hand tighten the valves, I couldn't get the valves tight enough by hand and had minor leaking around the seams. But adding a few rotations with a pipe wrench got things nice and tight and stopped the leaks. So anyway this does the trick and is well priced.

Had to get a new pump for Coleman pool this year and the outlet on the pump was too small for the factory hose that came with the pool. It connected to the hose okay, little bit of work to get it to connect. On the pump connect, it fit, but not very snug so if I pull the pump a little too far when I am cleaning it the connection falls off. Overall though it works, so served its purpose for the season.

For a very critical part of a pool filtration system, these plunger valves are garbage. The valve itself feels pretty sturdy and solid, but the female, nut which should be the strongest part of the valve, is of poor quality. The nut is two plastic halves snapped together and a good tighten by hand-/No over tightened, and the snap connection breaks and then the threads barely hold. I used a ridiculous amount of Teflon tape to make a tighter seal, carefully tightened as far as I could before it stripping again, and then sealed the $h!t out of any any all seems with a good caulking. I am so tired of low quality garbage from China.

Work for what I needed it for

The fitting is a little snug with the factory hose but it connects and doesn't leak. It may work in a little with use. Works as it should.
