This tea cranks me up.

I (used to) like this brand yerba mate a lot. My personal recipe is somewhat unconventional. I use 180 degree F water and then add a little cream to soften the bitterness.The last batch I got in April 2021 was way off. Something is off with the smell and the dust has disappeared. I tried experimenting with brewing times and temperature, but no use. If I made it hotter (185 to 190 F) the grassy smell would become unbearable and almost chemical like. Nothing like previous batches.I started doubting my own sense of smell (this being pandemic and all).So I got a bag from the parent company's brand (Kraus organica) and it was fine.***********Update Dec 2021Since I wrote the review above I have finished the original package of Kraus yerba. All new packages I have purchased of both Kraus and Ecoteas have the new smell. Since money has been spent I made quite an effort but could not make myself finish a cup.People are different and you may not even notice or may even like the change.Let me know (click helpful) if you have similar observations.In the meantime I have dug out an old bag of Kalmateh that before I considered inferior. Now it is the best I have at home.

Smooth and delicious. Less stems and twigs than other brands

I have been drinking this yerba mate for 10 years or so because it's always fresh and flavorful. I love the energy it gives me in the mornings too.

Finally some yerba mate with flavor. It's a little bit on the dry side but the flavor is very full.
