TC Electronic Effect Pedal IMPULSE IR LOADER

Get this and don’t look back!I loaded Dr. Bonkers Sound Labs 4x10 Goliath SWR IRs and the tone difference is incredible.It adds a depth that I cannot describe but I have played 2 shows since and I have had 2 bass players and 2 sound guys come up to me and ask what I am doing to get that tone. It just really fills out the mix without being too bassy or honky.The one thing I will ding it on... Is switching between IR's is not seamless. It takes a quarter of a second, so don’t expect to switch between IR’s for the solo or what have you.I have it after my Compressor and before my Darkglass pedal and then straight into my DI box.Loading IR’s is easy with the cable provided.

Great little pedal... Super simple controls, great sound quality, very easy to use. Most important pedal in my chain... makes piezo acoustic guitar pickup sound MUCH better with an IR.

OK, I know this pedal gets good ratings and that’s partly why I bought it. However, when the package arrived, there was nothing in the box except the pedal and then what I have to believe count be instructions – written completely in Chinese. I was under the impression that you needed an application on your computer to download various “impulses” to the pedal, but there’s nothing in the box about that application. I’m certainly fine with having a QR code that links to a website that gives me this information, but there’s absolutely nothing in the box or on the box that links to anything. This is a little disappointing.

This is a great IR loader pedal, with lots of control and the ability to add more IRs to the ones that come with the pedal. Makes recording from an amp into an audio interface super simple and sounds great!! I gave it 4 stars because it's not stereo, so using headphones with it directly isn't really an option. It'll still work in stereo with headphones through your audio interface though.

I bought this after seeing a YouTube review that indicated that it would improve the sound from my Martian e-series guitar with squawky Fishman bridge pickup. It did not help much. Not worth the $139 cost. Some of the settings were interesting when playing my Strat, but nothing I couldn't get with a tone control adjustment. I returned this item.

A very basic IR pedal that works good for the money. Very easy to use and very compact. It comes preloaded with a couple amp model/IR combos if you wanna just plug in and play but ultimately you would mainly use this with a preamp in front of it and then whichever IR you choose. An modler is ultimately superior to this in every way but if you have a particular amp or preamp and want to skip the amp modler and go straight to the IR, then this is for you.

I have an old Godin multiac nylon strnged, and the sound was ok, but adding Impulse loaded with an ir from 3 Sigma makes a very, very significant difference!! And after playing my eub through this with another ir, I am looking forward buying a second one! Advice: go with 96 kHz ir’s.

For a name-brand company, I felt this unit was confusing to operate, and I didn't hear much variation in tone. Disappointing.
