Civivi Conspirator - Cutting Edge Elegance!
The Civivi Conspirator has left me utterly speechless with its exceptional blend of style and performance! This folding knife is a masterpiece from tip to tail, starting with the 3.48" Nitro-V steel blade featuring a full flat grind and an eye-catching black Stonewashed finish – it's a true work of art. Straight out of the box, the Conspirator arrived razor-sharp, and boy, does it hold its edge exceptionally well. The versatility in deployment is mind-blowing – whether it's the flipper, button, or a slick spidey flick, this knife opens quickly and effortlessly, adding an element of fun to its functionality. The super solid button lock mechanism deserves applause. Releasing the lock results in a gracefully smooth, drop-closed action that feels like poetry in motion. The green micarta handle scales not only contribute to the knife's aesthetic appeal but also provide a positive grip that's a pleasure to hold. In the world of folding knives, the Civivi Conspirator is a standout star. Its superb craftsmanship, cutting-edge design, and impeccable performance make it a must-have for any knife enthusiast. If you're seeking a perfect fusion of elegance and functionality, the Conspirator is the answer – it's a cut above the rest!

Best budget folder
This knife is the best folder under $100 I've ever used. I liked the first one so much I bought another. The Nitro-V steel is great, it's a flipper, running on bearings, and a button lock. Blade will drop shut and is super fidgety. The button is super stiff for about a week and then it will wear in. The micarta scales feel good. It's extremely ergonomic, it slices well, holds an edge, has a good action, and both of mine had no imperfections and came perfectly centered. Can't ask for much more.

Good With A Caveat…
This is a solid knife with a serious demeanor and a wicked sharp factory edge. It has a substantive feel in the hand with good ergonomics, a finger choil for choking up on the blade, and ample jimping along the top spine of the blade for additional control. While the deep carry pocket clip won’t win any design awards, it functions well and on this black handled version, blends in innocuously. Here’s the caveat and why I ordered this knife twice. Check the quality control on your copy upon receipt. On the first copy, the blade operation isn’t buttery smooth and the blade sticks and hangs up (see the video). The button randomly jams and requires some force to actuate. It just doesn’t seamlessly deploy and retract without effort. The second copy by comparison, is great! The blade operation is smooth, consistent, and requires very little effort to operate. The button action is less sticky and seems to work as intended. And, the blade doesn’t drag or hang up like the first one. Overall, this is a good knife with a pleasing shark like aesthetic and a solid build quality that looks to perform for years to come. At this price, it’s a good buy. Just make sure you receive a good copy. Time to send the first one back. Hope this review is of help!

Amazing knife
This quickly took the top spot of my favorite knives. Fantastic knife. The button lock was a first for me and I was skeptical at first, an hour after owning it I was in love. I've carried it for nearly a year now and have no intentions of a different setup. Stays sharp and has done everything I've wanted it to do. HIGHLY recommend this knife.

It's different - I dig it.
This knife is lighter than you expect. In my long line of pocket folders, this 8 inch-er is visually one of the biggest, yet it's surprisingly lighter than most of them. I bought it because it's perfect looking. The top makes one continuous curve from heel to tip. There's no added angles to make it look like a space ship. Someone just removed all the noise and designed a perfect looking thing. It's a subtle set of Earthy grays and every surface absorbs light - it's not reflective. Just sharp looking. Out of the package, it's sharp as b*lls. I didn't sit there slicing paper or shaving my arm like a weirdo, but to the touch, it's a scalpel. But what stands out the most, is the surfaces on this knife. It's just 'different'. The blade has a very fine 'stone wash' to it. The handle's a dark charcoal ( basically black ) when you take it out of the case. It actually reminds me of a good pair of jeans. Nothing rubs off of it ( color-wise ), but it immediately begins to weather with use, and the fabric looking texture in the handle gets more revealed. I personally love that. I'm surprised people complain about it. If you want your knife to look like black plastic and stainless steel, you have a zillion other options. This handle reminds me of an old waxed canvas tool bag. It gets cooler looking with age. I'm into it. But, a reviewer on YT mentioned that he puts some kind of wax on his and it returns to a new finish - if that's what you want. I really dig this knife. Here's my CON: I hate the button release. I prefer a frame lock all day. And every time I close it, my thumb reaches for the frame release ... then I gotta readjust it and sit there pinching the sides and swinging the blade. Buttons are stupid.

Well made, full sized, smooth action
The conspirator has a tall but thin blade that slices easily and feels reassuring. You can get a good full grip on this. The knife opens very crisply with a middle finger (reverse) flick using the fuller or the blade. The blade can also be swung freely with the button pressed making for great fidgeting. The flipper works fine as well but the detent is a just a little light and I flopped an occasional flip. The other opening methods are just very satisfying. No complaints about the build quality and materials for the price. I only wish Civivi would make more knives with subtle branding like this. The blacked out pivot on this one is just fantastic. Eventually I went to upgrade with the titanium clip that Civivi sells on Amazon but I prefer the more discrete deep carry style that comes stock with the knife. A titanium deep carry clip would be perfect. Overall I highly rate the design and I’ve given several as gifts to the gents in my life.

light duty EDC
This is my first CIVIVI (Green micarta Nitro v Button lock) knife and probably my last. I have been using and collecting knives for over 30 years. I tend to buy knives that are intended for EDC and can also be used for outdoor and light bushcraft stuff. Heres why. 1- The knife came pretty dull and could not cleanly cut through paper. 2-The button lock is nice but the blade will bounce up if you close it with any speed. 3- looking at the locking mechanism I am not sure how robust the small pin is, and I wonder how it will hold up. It does lock well and have no issues at this point 4- What exactly is "Nitro steel" I don't like when manufactures use terms that don't reflect the composition of the steel. 5- The tip is thin!!!! pretty sure If I gave it any pressure it would break. Not that this knife was intended for heavy use. But the description shows it being used in the outdoors. 6- With the factory grind the knife had a hard time cutting/carving dried wood and will not feather stick. I had to spend time reestablishing an edge and making the knife useful. Some other reviewers state the sharpness was great. So this either tells me there is a quality control issue from the factory or the reviewer has low expectations. 7- Fit and finish is very nice and the ergonomics of the knife is well done. The scales are contoured and feel great. The action is smooth and is wearing in well. Pocket clip is nice with a good grip. 8- No lanyard hole. There is a post on the end and you can put one there if you want to. I also have a Sencut Knife (Scepter flipper $42) and when I calculate the value to price comparison I think the Sencut wins. I will see if the Nitro steel will lead to a re-evaluation of this but for the money there are much better knives out there. (I paid $79.99 ) Overall I think this is a good light duty EDC that just needs a little edge help. The button lock is cool and the knife is comfortable in the pocket. The Micarta is also well done. Hope this helps.
