Q: Does this work well on stove top?

this pot works very good for fish frying and french fries i also use it when i am canning vegetables from the garden

Q: Does someone have take the measure of the diameter and the height of the internal strainer basket?

I think it’s 14x6.75 it pretty much fits the outer pan

Q: How much oil do I need for this pot?

Depends on what are you cooking, do not put more than half of the pot, because you’re going put what ever you’re cooking into it, I use exclusively for frying, I personally put a quarter way up, and fry many things, leave the oil in the pot, for next time, I find my own lid to cover the pot.
