Too hard, too many small pieces, not a great set
I’ve built 15 to 20 Lego sets with my son and this is my least favorite. There’s a lot of small pieces that go together in a very specific way, where if they don’t, it doesn’t assemble properly. I’m pretty sure we follow the directions, and even then I had to go back and remove some pieces to get things to fit. It’s too technical is set to be rated 7+. I sincerely doubt that any seven year old is going to build this correctly without adult supervision. Overall, there’s better options within Lego.

Came damaged. Box looked old. Not worth sending back. Very disappointed
Came damaged. Box was all ripped (not the mailing package). Looked very faded and old. Not worth the bother to send back

Easy for Grandson who is 10 to assemble.
Grandson said instructions were easy to figure out. Did not ask for help. He is excited to display this in his room. Great gift for a.birthday or holiday.

Great build, little more complex than normal Lego
Bought as an addition to my 6yr olds expanding Lego collection. This was our first 'Technics' experience and i found this was a little jump up in complexity for him. It is a slightly different concept and introduces bricks which are visually different to what we were used to. As a result, he had to pay a little more attention to the instructions and it took him a little longer than it would usually for a build this size. Overall though, its still fairly clear and not too difficult for this age group. We only built the prop plane displayed on the front thus far but it is a very good little build and the end result is a very cool plane. The cog mechanism that drives the propeller is very good and adds a really nice touch to the finished model. My little one thoroughly enjoyed the build and has enjoyed playing with it after. Would recommend for sure.

Excellent!
My son absolutely loves this aeroplane, he is 9 ,and has made it by himself. I recommend this to all parents of lego / aircraft enthusiasts.

7 year old loved it
My 7 year old loved putting it together and seeing how the propeller turned when you roll it on the floor. The propeller stopped functioning after some playing, but on examination it was because he forgot one or two pieces that were essential to keep the gearing in place. I put the stickers on for him as they are a bit tricky to get right.

please don't deliver things that could be crushed through my letter box - this was totally ruined
Bought as a gift, it looked like a great present for a 6yo but the Amazon ruined it by putting it in a cardboard envelope instead of a box and then the delivery person crushed the whole thing flat to force it through my letterbox - I now have to return it at my own inconvenience just to get my money back. So to be clear this is not a review of the product - Lego is awesome - this is entirely a review of Amazon.

Great value interesting lego for a 7 year old
A wonderful kit for a 7 year old boy. Mostly built by himself over 3 sessions. Clear instructions and well made. Push it along on its wheels and the propeller turns. A nice size and fantastic value.
