Q: Is asap lock prone to false nuisance grabbing of the safety line?

I haven't found this to be a problem, although it can grab if you get going fast on decent.

Q: Can this be used in tree srt climbing instead of roperunner, akimbo, ... devices using hand/foot ascenders?

No. This is a specialty "autobelay". You cannot climb with it or use it to climb. When connected to a rope it will catch you if you fall. Do not use this device without proper training.

Q: Is the asap lock connector bar cumbersome or prone to awkwardness compared to regular asap?

No this device is the most simple and safe. But does require training to use!
