100% pure cotton towel but stinky?

These wipes are too stinky, smelling like some chemicals. However, as known, 100% pure cottons and its products should have no scent at all, unless the manufacturer scents them. I don’t understand why no comment mentions this problem. I have to throw all of them because I don’t want to cause problems to my face. Waste of money.
