When we built our home I installed black pipe throughout connected to a 60 gallon kobalt compressor. Initially I had a ceiling mounted reel at the front between two garage doors. With 10ft ceilings this proved to be borderline useless. As part of a garage cleanup and storage reconfiguration I installed overhead shelving and needed to relocate the reel. Beyond the location, one of the problems has been the amount of condensation produced while using the air supply.This seperator/regulator was installed to mitigate that. So far it seems of good quality. Installation was smooth. With my configuration I did not use the included hanger or the short 1/2 brass nipples. Testing this with a d/a sander produced none of the moisture spit which would previously result from a high cfm use. A success in my book. Ill update the review if anchoring changes with further use.

Larger than my old iron force in overall dimensions and 1/2” npt instead of 3/8”. Works flawlessly and I hope it stays that way. When pressure in air line is bled off, the valve in the water collection tank will open just before reaching 0 lbs to empty any condensate. Collection tank is easy to remove. Comes with a wall mount bracket, 2 brass short nipples, Teflon tape and packaged well. Great value ( always shopping for that)…very satisfied.

I was actually quite impressed with the quality of the regulator and water seperator. For the money it works well, When installed it would not pass any air and I thought it was broken. But after adjusting the pressure control knob I was quickly surprised how the air came up. I had not realized that you can close off all air flow with one of these. It has very good adjustment range and works well and comes with everything you need.

If you are wanting to have clean air with a dialed in pressure, this is a great option. This unit combines a 5 micron filter with an adjustable regulator. Mine is hard piped after a ball valve into my 60 gallon air compressor that provides air to my entire shop. It is nice knowing that my tools are protected from debris in the line and moisture as well. At the end of the day I shut the valve and once the supply pressure drops to around 20 psi the bowl that catches the moisture will automatically drain out. I love this feature since I would probably forget to do it as often as I should. The pressure is easy to adjust and the included PSI gauge makes sure you can dial it in. If you have a compressor that gets any serious use, this will make a great add on.

works as advertised but mine leaks around the bowl seal. I've temporarily removed it and am running another separator until I can figure out how to make it seal better

This is a surprisingly nice product for the price, it's well built, cheap, accurate.

The pipe fittings supplied threaded into the unit too far and bottomed out before the taper threads would seal, thus having to buy other replacements.The pressure gage threaded in so far that none of my wrenches would go on the wrench tightening area, I had to buy other fittings for that and now stands out away from the unit in harms way.
