Exactly what we needed
So far this thing has been on three 12ish hour trips and worked like a charm. Luckily I didn’t encounter much inclement weather so I can’t really attest to the water resistance but a friend has this brand and it withstood hours of rain on a road trip. It comfortably fits two large suitcases, a small suitcase (carry on size), a duffel bag and has extra space for multiple other small things (think small backpack, yoga mats, towels, things you can squeeze into the spaces). I’ve used this on my Hyundai Tuscan without a roof rack. We attached the strap loops under the seal in the doors. I put the roof protector on and put this thing right on top of my panoramic sunroof with no issues, just be gentle setting the stuff on your car. Make sure you flip the weather seal down and tighten the straps as much as you can, including a the two front straps. This helps keep rain, bugs and wind out!

This thing is amazing and well beyond worth the money!
I drove 1600 miles from Omaha Nebraska to Sacramento and this thing held up the entire way through rain, snow and extreme winds!! Did not have any leaks, stayed on perfectly in place and would HIGHLY recommend if you need some extra storage space for a long or short trip. I drive a Ford focus and this fit perfectly on top, no issues! I was able to vacuum seal all of my clothes and pack them in this with a bunch of other stuff.

Good product at great price
Bought this for a beach trip, 700 mile roundtrip. Well made, good material. Ton of storage space. Did not get any rain but did leave overnight and the dew did not get through. Like others have said, key tips are to load it full so the straps pull down tight and put the zipper to the back. I didn't have any issues other than stoppimg once to retie a strap so it didn't flap. Overall, good product for great price.

Holds a lot
First trip using the carrier went fairly well. It did shift back a bit on roof, but rearranging items inside kept it from happening again. Went through some rain and there weren’t puddles or anything, but items close to the zipper were a bit damp or had some visible water on them. Overall, adds plenty of extra cargo room for trips. Went on the roof of my 23 Subaru Crosstrek without issue.

Does the job well!
We loved our roof bag. We retired ours after a 9 day, 5,500 mile camping journey through the Southwest and Northern Rockies. This was the 3rd camping trip we took this bag on and we were very happy with its performance. It did get weathered and wore out after some seriously hard miles but we never expected it to last forever. The weathering was mostly on the straps we left unsecured while traveling and that was our own fault. Our stuff was safe and secure and dry for the duration of use. We purchased a new bag as soon as we returned from vacation, and I bought one for each of my kids cars for Christmas.

Well Made Product that stands up to abuse
I bought this to carry our tent, cots, chairs and sleeping bags on the Roof Top Rack of our JK Rubicon. It has been rained on, had tree branches drug over it, the sun beat down on it and traveled down the highway at 80 MPH. It has not leaked and protected all our gear. I recommend it highly.

SWFL to SWVA on my 2018 Camry Hybrid—A+
Through driving rain, 90 mph speeds, no roof rack, and the Blue Ridge Mountains, this carrier performed far better than I expected, and could easily be used again and again.Didn’t slide, scratch, or dent my roof, either.Very, very pleased.

Straps are entirely too long
The straps on this are extremely long and even after adjusting them down as much as possible we still could not get them snug on my Ford Edge. Unfortunately, we did not try it out on the car until the day before our trip or we would have returned it. We had to stop numerous times on our trip to redo the knots we had made in the straps to stop them from beating the roof of my car. Did not make for an enjoyable trip with the constant thump thump! We did not use it on our return trip home because of that thumping, which also made that trip unenjoyable from everything being crammed in the car. We were like a rolling can of sardines for 15 hrs. The quality is of the bag itself good and is waterproof but our luggage did sweat in it since there is no airflow. The non-slip mat was pretty much useless and did not stay in place, possibly because we were unable to get the straps tight enough on the car??? Best advice, try it out on your car in advance of your trip giving yourself enough time to return if necessary.
