Q: For people that have mounted it over gutters - does the ball hit the gutters often if the shot isn't a complete airball?

If you mount as close to the edge of the roof as possible the ball will occasionally hit the gutter but not often. My gutters are still intact 18 months after installation.

Q: Can I just buy the bracket

On Amazon, the roof king systems are only sold as complete packages.

Q: Will this damage the roof permanently? In other words, if we remove it after 10 years, will we need a new roof?

You need to attach this system securely to the roof with lag bolts that are included. That will be the only damage.

Q: Is this easily adjustable feom 8' to 10'?

Adjusting the height is not easy. The freed standing ones that use a pole set into the ground are easily adjustable, but the roof one takes ladders, tools and multiple strong people to adjust.
