Grenade Grip - Compact Hand Grip for GoPro® HERO Cameras

When I was in the market for a hand grip for my GoPro, It was really a toss up between this and the bobber. Since I already had a floaty backdoor, this one was cheaper and looked like it had better grip I went with it. So glad I did; this thing is awesome! The build quality is fantastic and it looks super cool. The Grendade Grip has a really good textured handle to help you keep ahold of your camera and such. The grip also comes with a wrist strap and carabiner for some extra securing ability. The bottom of the grip has a threaded hole so it can be mounted to a tripod, which is nice. Just so you know, it is safe to take in water and the entire thing will float with only the floaty backdoor on the GoPro. All in all, this is great value and you'll get some awesome shots with it!

Bought this because I was looking for a mount for scuba diving that wouldn't be attached to my head or hand. I attached this to a retractable clip with a zip tie, and the clip is attached to my BC. This works great for me. I just pull the camera out and film what I want, then I can let it retract and hang until I need it again. The grip is nice and beefy, it's solid in my hand, even with 7mm gloves on. The only thing I would do to improve it is if the camera could move in other directions (more like a tripod). I like that you can set the angle forward or backward, but it'd be nice if I could hold it lengthwise while keeping the camera upright. But overall it's been exactly what I needed.

I bought this at the last minute for my recent scuba diving trip to use with my GoPro Hero 2. Overall, it worked very well and I was pleased with it. The GoPro mounted soundly to the grip and the camera stayed upright and didn't move on its own. I used it for 8 dives and twice for snorkeling over 4 days to a max depth of 78 ft. I used the wrist strap in case it ever came out of my hand. On the last day of diving, I let a friend use it for his last 2 dives (he did 4 dives that day while I only did 2). When he began to surface to safety stop depth at the end of his dive, he let go of the grip as it was attached to his wrist via the wrist strap. In less than a minute, the wrist strap became unscrewed from the grip and the grip plus my GoPro sank to the bottom to about 40 ft. Fortunately, the dive master saw it happen and retrieved it... otherwise, it would have been lost (kind of funny watching the video but only because I still have my GoPro and you can hear the dive master laughing). My guess is that the (plastic) screw became loose over the 4 days. I'm thinking that plumber's tape may help prevent this in the future but it would be nice to hear from GoPole on this issue. I'd rate this 4 stars if the wrist strap issue hadn't occurred.

This is great, I use it all the time when I've not got the camera mounted on something. The grip is a great size and easy to hold, feels comfortable and allows much more solid and stable shots. Although not a floating grip, I used it in the pool many times and it helped with underwater shots. Quite expensive but well built and does the trick. The lanyard looks like an afterthought as there isn't anywhere to attach it apart from in the hinge as shown on the product shot. Doesn't feel right or that safe so I didn't use it.

I purchased this for a trip to Thailand and it worked well. The handle made it easy to orient the camera while snorkeling and we got lots of great video. The only downside is that there is a small hole in the bottom of the handle which will obviously fill with water. This was only an issue because I didn't notice the small hole at first and just placed the water filled handle in my backpack where it then proceeded to slowly drain water into my bag. This was my fault of course but just something to be aware of. This handle does not make the camera float either so be sure you use the included wrist strap, which was of good quality especially for the price. This handle would have worked well for someone skiing, hiking, or any other activity that has one hand free. I would purchase this product again and recommend it to anyone who needs an inexpensive handle for their GoPRo.

I clip this bugger to my BC when diving. It's connected to a retractable lanyard, and available when I need it. It works as advertised. It's been on a bunch of dives with me, and recorded a lot of cool images. Like some of the other reviewers have posted, the handle does collect water and needs to be shaken out to get it dry, and this doesn't float. Shocked face----> o_o Personal responsibility folks. There are other items out there if you are worried about it floating or that water will get into the handle. Overall its a great little handy product for the underwater crowd.

I give the hand grip itself 5 stars...the "high torque thumbscrew" is (as others have stated) a piece of junk. It broke the 1st time I went to attach a case to the grip. Do yourself a favor & just order a set of aluminum screws that come with a tightening wrench (which you can find all over Amazon for $5-20). Since I bought an extra case with the intention of leaving it attached to this grip all the times, I find this no reason to take off a "star" in the rating for this "defect" The wrist strap is PERFECT. I love that it has the cinch so you can tighten it up around your wrist for when you'll be moving & not have to worry about losing grip of the handle (like when my passengers use it on my Harley) ;-) The carabiner is a nice addition for clipping the whole setup to your belt, backpack etc when you're not using it. Also like the fact that you can unscrew the wrist strap & attach it to a tripod. The fitting for this is a good quality brass fitting formed into the plastic. I bought a mini-tripod that is the size of the hand grip so I can set it up on tables etc very easily

BEFORE YOU ORDER A GRENADE GRIP, CHECK THE SELLER!! Looking through the reviews for this item, I found lots of people had received the old version of the GoPole grenade Grip. This is mainly down to the SELLER selling old stock. When I ordered mine, I checked with the seller (SerfSurfSurf North Devon) to make sure I was going to get the new one! Sure enough, within 5 days of ordering my grip, the 2nd generation grenade grip arrived! The grip feels sturdy in the hand - the rubber coating secures it in your hand and provides a non slip grip, which I'm sure would be as grippy if used in water. The 1/4 by 20 inch thread on the bottom allows you to attach it to the included carabineer clip and wrist strap, adding to the sheer versatility of this product. This also means you can mount it to the GoPole base or any 1/4 inch head tripod. The grip also comes with a hi-torque thumbscrew, which allows you to tighten your gopro much stronger than you would with the original gopro thumbscrews, without a wrench. I'm thinking of ordering more of these soon, as they have changed how quick I can tighten my GoPro on the field so dramatically. The grip is such great buy, and for the price there aren't any other grips as versatile as this one out there. I will definitely be buying from GoPole again.

fits nice and snug with the GoPro, very durable, and lightweight. If you're looking for a product to use as a steady cam or just to have something to hold onto when your recording this will do the job!

Ho acquistato questo mount targato GoPole per uso sportivo(snowboard) o,più semplicemente,per fare riprese in generale evitando,però,di avere costantemente in mano la gopro.Il mount si presenta bene,ben fatto(qualità dei materiali sembra essere ottima),piccolo(circa 10cm) e soprattutto risulta essere molto,molto leggero.Perfetto per riprese-selfie all'esterno o per filmare oggetti/persone in movimento,avendo una presa eccellente data dal grip.In conclusione,prodotto,per ora fantastico,le 5 Stelle le merita tutte. Su amazon nulla da dire,con prime,1 giorno e il mount era a casa,affidabilissimo come sempre(amazon),5 stelle.

Liegt sehr gut in der Hand, die Schlaufe gibt einem ein sicheres Gefühl die Kamera im Notfall nicht zu verlieren. Hatte den Griff fürs Schnorcheln in der Karibik dabei und bei Zip-Line Fahrten - alles problemlos mit tollen Ergebnissen.
