Love these pots
I love these self watering pots, but they only make them to certain size before they stop. This is the downside. I have had the self water where the string pulls the water into the soil, but when plants die, it does not work in my opinion. The pot within a pot with the water level not only keeps my plants alive but protects the roots from root rot. I have had pots where the water is separated from the soil and called self watering, but when you need to water through the dirt but can't tell how much water is is the pot, I don't call these as self watering either. Marketing, please make bigger for larger house plants! Also please try to keep the price reasonable as well.

We love it.
This pot is Fernadette approved. I love it too.The water hole and indicator are kind of far in, but that’s ok. She likes it when I make a mess on top of her trying to water her. (Possibly that’s intentional. Maybe they thought it was better to spill water on the plant than on your table top…?)It was a tiny bit pricey but I feel like all pots are and if this pot keeps my fern alive and happy, it’s well worth it.(Please don’t judge her. She’s still settling in. But trust me, she’s very happy). 😊And yes, the plant below her is fake. 🤫

great for my plant
My plant is huge and I've been looking for a pot for a while now. This was exactly what I needed! The self-watering feature works great and I love that the pot has wheels to move it when I need to

Nice pot
The self watering pot is nice looking and works well. It's well made also. I got the white wicker looking one and I love it. The only thing that I think should be added is, the ability to lift up the inner basket easier. I use pon with my plants, and once the basket is in the pot, it's hard to grab a hold of it to bring it back up. The price is a bit high also. Overall, the pot is nice though.

Outside has ripples
The exterior pot that holds the water is thick and sturdy but the outside isn’t smooth. It’s almost like it was poured into a mold that had ripples. I’ll keep it because I need the size and there aren’t many options out there other than white, which I don’t want. I do really like the color.

Doesn't work
No matter what I do or how much water I pour in, nothing causes the water indicator to rise. I've tested the indicator outside of the pot, putting it into various tubs of water, and it simply does not rise no matter how much water it's submerged into.

Good lechuza alternative
I really like these pots. They are very similar to lechuza in many ways (including how their water meter is designed) and they function well. The water meter tends to be reliable (only infrequently getting stuck, which even the lechuza ones get periodically stuck). The only thing I would change about it is the fact that the area where you pour the water into the reservoir has a plastic grid over it, whereas the lechuza ones just have an opening that goes straight down into the reservoir. Because I fill my reservoirs with a backpack sprayer, the plastic grid can cause a lot of spray-back and make the process messier than it needs to be. To address this issue, I've actually taken a drill and drilled through the plastic grid on many of the pots, so I can stick the sprayer head in to water. They are otherwise perfect, especially since it has become near impossible to get lechuza planters.

Good overall, but quality and design could be improved
This is no Lechuza quality wise (much flimsier) but similar in many ways. I decided to try one of these since I cannot find Lechuza available anywhere.A couple things-The removable basket is nice because you can remove the whole plant if needed. Something my Lechuza planters do not have.-The drain plug at the bottom is very loose and does not instill confidence that water will not leak through it and ruin my wood floors. I ended up sealing this hole from the inside using silicone as an extra precaution.-There’s no cover for the water fill hole. This is a higher risk for pests (ie mosquitos) getting access to the water and also makes it easy to get dirt into the reservoir. Fortunately since the basket can be removed this isn’t as big of an issue as it is with planters that do not have the removable basket.
