Bit Holder, Magnetic, 6-Inch (DW2055B)

I broke 2 of these. They work great for screws. I broke them when driving large bolts using mechanics sockets. I can't get by without one for screws so I am determined to remove this holder when doing heavy work. Great product.

These work well for what they are designed for. They hold your standard size screw tips then “sleeve over” the screw to support it while driving it in and collapse on their sleeve shaft as the screw goes in.

This Dewalt bit holder sleeve works well. I knocked it down 1 star as the magnet could be stronger, it’s a bit weak.

These bit holders have an outside dark colored hand held hollow cylinder that does not spin with the inner bit holder. The outer stationary piece is kept in place by two rings that keep it from sliding off the assembly. These retainers quickly fail, with the dark hand help portion sliding off whenever the driver is pointed downward. In other words these do not perform as designed. I have had many other Dewalt bit holders that work correctly though they do wear out too frequently in the manner described above. This set failed on first use. This is obviously a manufacturing defect so maybe the best response is to order another size or purchase another set, than this 3 piece package, or purchase from another manufacturer.

Great Product

I love these. Not sure why stores only sell the shorter versions. I do wear these out I use them so much. Great of using my impact driver in harder to reach areas. Keeps the impact driver back far enough away from the fastener that I can see what I'm doing too. The slide helps keep the fastener in place along with a magnetic bit.
