An absolute MUST Purchase along with the prong collar. There is no way I would be able to squeeze the prongs together to get her collar on and off. Really happy with this - easy on, easy off - makes for an enjoyable experience when we go outside for training.

Works well with our prong collar. This makes it easy for us to take the color off and on when training.I normally use this in addition to a rolled leather collar so I can take the prong off quickly with a clip when we are not training, which is easy and more comfortable for both me and the dog.I haven't had any problems with it coming unbuckled.It's durable and looks good.

Very secure lock, easy to use. Good that the lock has a sliding cover to secure the button.Take into consideration that adding the lock changed the size of the collar, and there does not seem to be a formula that brings the collar size back to what you started. The collar fit well, adding the lock made it too large (obviously). But taking 1 prong link out was not enough, 2 links out was too much. The difference was not significant enough to take a star away, just be aware.

game changer. I have a reactive Great Dane that requires a pinch collar when we are out where other dogs might be. I have difficulty putting the pinch collar on & off without this adapter because I have arthritis in my hands. It does change the size of the large link pinch collar such that the collar is about 1/2 link oversized, which means it tends to slip down further on my dog's neck that where it should be. Great if you need it, but may be better with the smaller link collars for better fit.

I was able to look up the order for my dog's Herm Sprenger collar (purchased in 2021) to figure out what size I needed. The 3mm buckle works well on the 3mm collar. I assume the measurement relates to the diameter of the metal, which isn't the easiest to measure without calipers. I removed the center plate and one link, and it was a perfect match in length. As the number of links on her collar were odd, it actually helped balance the collar. I have decent hand strength for a middle-aged woman, but found it challenging to use the links on an excited dog. The buckle makes it so that my 83 year old parents with arthritis might be able to put the collar on and off without a struggle.As for the cover coming off when it is unbuckled, there is a trick that isn't obvious. One end of the slider has a little bump on the underside. That end (the skinny end) should be closest to the links when unbuckled. If you push it all the way to the links, you will feel it catch, and that will hold the slider in place, even with the collar hanging on a hook.We also use a "safety clip" from the collar ring to her flat collar, just in case something goes awry. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08JQ3WYXC?th=1

This quick release clip can be put onto a prong collar - enabling easy use of the collar without using strength.

Highly recommend!! I hadn’t used a pronged collar before but the Herm Sprenger was what our trainer suggested for our gsd puppy. Getting that on and off was tricky. I found this product & ordered it, hoping to find an easier way. This arrived very quickly. I was able to attach it to the collar easily (removing a few prongs to adjust for the length of the clasp). Now getting the collar on and off is done in a snap! Bonus is that the small weight of the clasp helps keep the collar centered on her neck correctly. Without this clasp, the collar would slide a little and I’d have to try to adjust it without pulling on it.

This makes putting the collar off and on so much easier with a wiggle dog.
