881170a15-4000 side mount Gen I for mercury outboard engine throttle control box 2-stroke 8pin

Super quick shipping, ordered on the 10th, showed up on the 13th! So far so good. Installation was a breeze, complete plug and play. I was confused about other reviewers saying this wont work for mercs or that their throttle is push to open. Pay no attention to them. The standard is pull to open, which is what this control box provides. I did have something weird with the electronics on my boat yesterday near the End of my trial run (first time out after installing the box). Ill have to dig deeper. If its the control box doing it then I'll update this appropriately

I ordered this item it came in 2 days which was awesome once I got the package the whole control was missing it came with a bag with bolts and the key to the ignition and a bracket for the throttle control but the throttle control was not in there!

I ordered this because my last one broke. It was very simple and easy to set up. Really good quality and look forward to taking my boat out. I would recommend this to anyone needing a replacement

The handle of the unit interferes with windshield framing on the 1978 16ft Baja ski boat. Needs to space out another inch to clear it but then it would become more an obstruction onto piloting the boat. Besides that, it is much bigger and bulkier than the origional quick silver control box. The harness looked like it would definitely work for the 86 115 hp 2 stroke mercury engine without much modification needed.

Bought this to replace an old broken control box on a Pontoon with a 1987 Merc 150hp. Was easy to install even though I installed it differently than the existing control box. I took it out on the lake for an entire day yesterday for the first time since installing, and had zero issues. Wish I would have bit the bullet and put this on a couple years ago! The description doesn't mention this, however, you can mount the shift lever on either the left or right side of the control box. I left it as left side of box for right side mounting. So far the tilt/trim switch and grip lock is holding up fine (other reviews said they broke right away or soon after installation). Time will tell on the durability, but so far its working great, glad I purchased it!

This item just as described work good til it didn't which was right after 30 day return date. It locked up on us in forward position. The customer service for this company was excellent, fast and did exactly what they said they would do! We got our replacement controller FAST even when it was a holiday wknd when the problem happened. Extremely pleased with the customer service.

Piece of garbage! Put in boat and popped fuse took apart and hot wires were pinched shorted out.

Easy to install the control cables and is compatible with my late model Force outboard motors. I have a 50hp 1996 and a 70hp not sure what year as the sticker is missing but I believe it's a 1994. Has the power trim and the plug for the tachometer harness. Far cheaper than buying a used unit of unknown condition.
