Great 48 port switch. Might have issues with RingCentral phones.
I love netgear products. They're reliable and the prices are totally reasonable and fair for what you get. I'm not running datacenters or anything, but for a small to medium business sized application they work great and are a much better option than some other higher priced alternatives IMHO.This is a great unmanaged 48 port switch. We've had no issues with overheating and the fanless design keeps our server room that much more quiet. Comes with everything you need to install in a standard rack in a matter of minutes. The only caveat I can think to offer here is.........In our office we rolled out two of these. Everything was setup fine and data to and from computers and servers on the network worked fine. We rolled out about 15 ring central phones maybe three months after installing these switches and had intermittent issues almost instantly. We were plugging the phones into power at the desks using their included ac adapters and only using the switches to route the voice signal. After spending a ton of time with ring central's support we finally got a tech on the phone who ran a bunch of tests over the course of a couple of hours and found some pretty bad packet loss that would seem to come and go in kinda waves. He couldn't find a cause but said that he thought that it might be the switches. He didn't have any documentation to support it and said we shouldn't be having any issues with the phones on the same hardware as the data connections on our network, but I went ahead and got a separate Netgear POE switch and consolidated all of the phones on that and we haven't had a problem since.I'm not sure if anyone else is going to run into this or if there was something else going on, and if there is a compatibility issue I'd say it's on the ring central hardware's end since everything else on our network flies with these switches. I'm just throwing out our experiences.I'd definitely continue to buy these switches and just get the Netgear POE ones and keep the phone traffic over there.

You can plug a lot of cables into it and then forget about it. You're done.
Has a lot of connections, last a long time. Plug and play, no setup.

Works as expected!
I was looking for a low maintenance switch. This was great for my purpose. I installed at a small business and was able to connect the different offices/computers to the switch without configuration. I have been using Netgear switches for years in addition to wireless solutions.. I have not had to reach out to support for this product and don't expect to. I would definitely recommend for purchase. I am running a 1 Gigabit coax service from the router to the switch.

Great unamanged 48 port switch
We use all types of networking equipment, and this works well as an unmanaged switch. Solid construction, reasonable price, and expected throughput. If you need features like VLANs or port mirroring, then you will need a managed switch, which this is not.

Fair product, BUT, Amazon left me frustrated.
The extended (3rd party) coverage offered and sold by AMAZON, will not honor the failed product replacement with 3 months remaining on coverage. Told me to call Amazon... Amazon customer service told me to call Asurion.Finger pointing at its finest, leaving a frustrated customer with a failed product.Cm-on AMAZON! YOU offered and sold me the useless extra coverage. STAND behind your offering!

Didn't work
Didn't work out of box. Only the power light came on. POE ports didn't work, nor any of the link lights.
