They stay cold for a long time. If you're using them in an ice chest, they do take up quite a bit of space due to the shape. Also, after a few hundred freeze cycles, they tend to bend and break due to the plastic fatigue from expanding.

This ice pack is the right size for my small 6-pk igloo cooler that I use for lunch! It also fits perfectly in my brown bag insulated lunch bag too! I use one on the bottom of the bag and the other to seal in the cool on top.

I bought these Cryopaks because my old ones had been repaired with duct tape and it was time for new ones. However, this latest version bulged the first time I froze them. I froze them laying on their side. The company I bought them from never contacted me and I am tired of dealing with them. I don't want to deal with a return so I will try to use them while bulged. I hope they don't explode in my lunch pail at work.Upon more thought, I thawed them to try and refreeze them and see what would happen. I thawed them with the sealed opening upright. It worked! Instructions would have been nice.

Bought this for when we go grocery shopping in this hot weather. We put them in the thermal bag and they keep the cold items cold. That way if we need to make a stop on the way home there is no worry. Size will also work for when we pack lunches for a picnic. We've only had them for a short time, so, can't comment on longevity. Would recommend.
