Q: Can I use this fir a barbecuing baster and how many ounces does it hold ?

hello, our sprayers are made to spray liquids that are the same consistency as water sauce would be to thick. and it is 50 oz. thank you.

Q: Should i be able to spray water mixed with ceyenne pepper for misting my outdoor plants?

Yes, you should be able to spray this mixture with this sprayer.

Q: Each initial spray of our chlorine solution is brown but quickly turns to the expected clear color. Is this normal? Did we get a used/defective unit?

You may be using more bleach than you should. I use mine for sanitizing (per requirements for school) and have not had any problems. The unit says to release the pressure between uses and though not very handy, not to store solution in unit.
