Not just a pretty bottle.
The beautiful textured glass on the bottle and pretty label look great. I was a bit worried about how the wine was going to taste but it's actually pretty good.Dry and elegant, with a hint of spice. Very pale, palette is crisp with great length and the bouquet is superb. Great with grilled prawns, fish, goats cheese to Provencal recipes and also the pork meatballs with pasta or salad. It lacks complexity, but sometimes that isn't what you want in a summery rose. Overall this is good value for money and I'd buy it again.

Light, tasty perfect to accompany dinner
Very nice looking bottle, wine itself is light and pale in colour, tastes lovely, very light and refreshing without being sweet. Was great to have with salmon and salad.

Enjoyed it..
Presentation is impeccable, a beautiful bottle, nice thick glass and a heavy feel to it. Neat sort of gift tag style thing attached to the neckFor me, not a typical rosë as no sweetness to it - not a bad thing as far as I am concerned though.Looks more pink inside the bottle than out and drinks like a nice white wine.Priced at £12 when reviewed, can't help feeling you could get just as nice a wine for slightly less.Having said that, I did enjoy it and the bottle is stick a candle in material.

Pale Rose Wine
Delicious, light and dry wine, which is a delight to drink chilled on its own, or with a meal. The bottle is beautiful too, and this would make for a good gift to give or to receive..Well made, well packaged and good value. Recommended.

A step up from my usual run of the mill rose wine
From it most attractive bottle, to the fruity fragrance you get on popping the cork, this rose wine delivers in looks and aroma. It is fruity, but not too sweet and is extremely pleasant to drink when well chilled. I would normally be paying around £5-6 on a bottle of rose wine, so this would be more than my usual spend at £12 However, after drinking it, I can tell that it is altogether a more substantial and well rounded rose which goes down exceedingly easily with a meal. Due to its presentation and great taste, I feel that this would make a wonderful gift to take along with you to a friends house. If you want to step up from the normal cheaper supermarket stuff and try something really delightful I would recommend this.

Fresh, crisp and light tasting
Lovely looking bottle with stylish label and a cork. The wine was tried well chilled and it was fresh, crisp and light. Not as sweet as many rose wines so will suit those who like a drier style. I think £12 is slightly too expensive, so I’ve dropped 1 star, but I would have this again.

Crisp semi-dry type of Rose wine, lovely pale pink colour, refreshing.
To be honest, the first thing I noticed when I took the bottle out of the excellent Amazon packaging (apart from a big sense of relief that the bottle has arrived safely in one piece!) was just how attractive the actual bottle shape is. I know it sounds flippant but being a fan of good design I still appreciated how lovely this Rose looked as I sat it on the table.I had not heard of the make before but it clearly has some good pedigree judging by my research. I would normally pay about a maximum of £8 - £9 for a bottle of Rose and this one retails at around £12. I am not a wine expert but I do not like dry white wines at all, love full bodied red wines and find Rose a happy medium and I can drink a Rose anytime. We decided to wait until we had a small dinner party before opening the bottle... that way I could impress attendees with the stylish bottle and also there would be four adults who might offer an opinion on the Castillo de Ibiza. Actually it ended up that only three people tried the wine as the fourth adult was being plain awkward by insisting on a Merlot! The wine was very well received by all who consumed it and we suddenly didn't object to the abstainer as it meant us three could have a little more Rose each! The wine was universally liked. The main comment was that it wasn't as sweet as some Rose wines, and everyone was amazed how pale the wine looked in the glass (the bottle depth adds more of a 'blush' to the pale pinkish colour). The paleness in the glass just actually made the wine look rather classy in my opinion. My wife usually tends to favour a sweet white wine (she's not much into wine generally) but she said that she thought the Castillo de Ibiza tasted very nice indeed and it may have persuaded her that Rose is the way forward. My personal opinion is that this wine does have more of a 'quality' taste to it. It's crisp and not too sweet so appeals to my particular preferences. Did I like it enough to buy it when next shopping for a Rose wine? I think I would still opt for a price tag of up to £9, but having said that, for taking or offering at a dinner party or 'posh' afternoon outdoor get-together then this wine would easily end up in my shopping basket. Give it a try... you'll probably like it a lot!
