NVIDIA SHIELD TV REMOTE

I bought a second hand Nvidia Shield online and didn't read the description closely enough, so ended up with a device with no remote. This was for use in the bedroom to watch movies on Plex, streamed from another Shield. Initially I used the remote from my first machine, which was fine, but since it's blue tooth, the remote will only control one machine at a time. You need to unregister it from one machine to then re-register with the other, what a faff. Was initially quite annoyed as second hand remotes are scarce and are actually dearer than this item. Since the description of this was in French (despite being on UK amazon) and the relatively low price I was quite sceptical. But it is an original Nvidia remote, it does light up when moved, and controls the Shield perfectly. Only slight issue was that I had to setup the remote as a blue tooth accessory, not an original remote. But this could be because the Shield is an older 2017 model, so maybe later models have updated systems.

This is the real deal! Easy to pair excellent. I paid for a cheap one but returned this as it was awful! Did not Pair. This remote is expensive but less hassle in the long run so save your money and buy the real thing!

This is the original remote and connects no problem. Other cheaper options do not connect like this one. It’s identical to the original one that broke, same weight to it to. So quality item, absolutely functional, and worth the additional money you spend as it will actually work.

As described, works seamlessly with shield!

When I purchased my shield the gaming controller bundled with the unit doubled as the remote. The controller was large & cumbersome and since I bought the shield as a media device it wasn't ideal. I had thought of buying this remote but they were way overpriced. Now that the price is down to a more acceptable £25 at time of purchase I took the plunge. Mine synced with the shield straight out of the box & is nice & intuitive to use. Negatives are it could be a tad bigger but that's purely down to my personal preference. In summary, if you have a shield treat yourself to the remote.

Love the genuine nvidia remote. I prev got a cheap non nvidia remote ( only because genuine remote not available on amazon.) (This cheap version had a slow button reaction time and no lit buttons) So when a genuine remote became in stock on Amazon ( Only one left at the time!) , I ordered one immediately

I have had my Nvidia Shield device for about 18 months now and it gets a lot of heavy use. So the handset has gone a little shiny here and there. I searched all over for a genuine replacement and came across this one. It had an unusual name but I thought I would risk it. Well, when it arrived, I was pleased to see it was, in fact, a genuine item. It paired with my Shield box straight away and works like a dream. A good choice.
