We have MFD shutters that are made to be functional, even though there is no need to close them. The shutters that are riveted to the sides of the house and are not sized correctly always look like tacked on accessories. So, these look and function as real shutters and are sized to fully cover the windows. We needed functional brackets. These fit the bill. They are priced right and well made. Easy to install and the offset allows them to swing over the window and latch. The only complaint was the shipment from Amazon. We ordered 14 pairs of shutter hinges. They are small but heavy. Amazon put them in a shoe box package and the post office refused to deliver it as it fell apart from the weight in delivery. So, I reordered the same brackets, 7 pairs in two separate orders. This time, same size box, but the weight didn't rip the box open. These are great for the price and quality

These hinges were the perfect, exact replacement for the hinges on my 30 year old wooden shutters. I mean even right down to the location of the screws. I had these in my watch list all winter by Spring Time when I needed them they weren't online and then I found this seller selling them as used and they were brand-new perfect hinges I got a better price on them and they just worked out perfect

The product is sturdy and functional and will probably work well for most people. However, if you ever shut your shutters, you’ll see that the hinges don’t look even. There are 2 pieces to the hinges; 1 piece attaches to the house and the other piece attaches to the shutter. If the house pieces are attached with the peg up, the picture shows how the shutter piece on top extends about 2.5” above the house piece, and the shutter piece on the bottom extends about 1.5” below the house piece. When the shutters are open you won’t see the difference because the shutter piece won’t be seen. If the shutters are closed, you will see the difference. I just want future buyers to know about this visual discrepancy before they buy just in case it makes a difference to them.

I'm not sure if I just happened to be the lucky one to get a set that was badly scratched up or these just scratch very easily; but the pair I got were badly scratched, down to the metal through the black coating and I am going to have to paint them before I can install them so they don't rust. I think maybe the packaging was to blame, they were all loose in a plastic bag. They are also a bit flimsy, but they are meant to just hold up shutters...

EXACT DUPLICATE for our 40 year old shutter hinges! They are well made but we put another coat or two of black paint as we are on the coast,

This will work for shutters for my windows that are built coming out rather than set in. If you get the offset right, this will work. Good quality hinges.
