Incredible Range and Rock-Solid Connection!
The TP-Link Omada Long Range Outdoor Access Point exceeded my expectations! I installed it to extend Wi-Fi coverage across my property, and the performance has been flawless. The signal easily reaches from the house to my garage and backyard with strong, stable speeds — no drops, even through walls and trees. Setup was simple using the Omada app, and the interface makes managing the network incredibly easy. The build quality is excellent — weatherproof and sturdy, perfect for outdoor use. Once mounted and powered up, it just works! I also love how seamlessly it integrates with other TP-Link Omada devices. Whether you’re setting up Wi-Fi for a large yard, farm, or small business, this access point delivers professional-grade performance at a great price. Highly recommend for anyone who wants reliable, long-range outdoor Wi-Fi coverage!

Good range
I have a shop separate from my house and wanted to get wifi to it easily. This set up works pretty well. I am able to stream my music, play videos on my phone, all without issues. Pretty easy to set up, easy to install, and works well. It is about 50’ from my wifi source, then another 50’ to the inside portion of my shop. Range is really good, I hold my wifi signal at least 100-200’ from this device.

Great range and throughput.
Replaced an outdoor access point with this one. Range and speed are greatly improved. Signal is present on most of the 10 acre property. It works wonderfully.

Well-made but a different ingress method and security reboot setting would make it better.
So far this has been working well enough but odd that the connection comes straight out of the bottom where it's subject to weather, animals and other external hazards. It's being used in a very rural area to maintain the WiFi for security cameras and while it works well, due to the intermittent nature of the signal there, it sometimes loses it and never recovers so my system goes off-line until I can make the 500+ mile trip to reconnect it. It would be far better if it had some kind of maintenance mode for an automatic periodic reboot but I can find no such setting.

Worked perfectly
Exactly what I needed. Should have purchased years ago to fix a weak signal outside. Set up for a single access point was easy and I get excellent signal in the backyard.

ZERO STARS. Deceptive advertising. Not a true mesh access point, Not stating what else is needed.
I bought this because of two issues I am having: 1) My robotic lawnmower looses wifi connection when it is in the far back of my yard, around 300 yards. 2) The security cameras on my workshop looses wifi connection at times, rendering the cameras useless. I tried placing a true mesh router in the workshop. It connect to the mesh network when standing outside, not inside. The problem here is, with the radiant barriers on the building. The siding has a radiant barrier backing, The insulation has a radiant barrier and the interior finished walls have a radiant barrier backing. Basically it has three thin sheets of metal (aluminum foil like) surrounding the entire building. This is to help keep the shop cool in the hot Florida summers. It also stops any type of radio sign from getting in. Please don't say, stick iy in a window. I had the shop built without windows for two reasons, 1) Security 2) Keep the heat out. So I bought this outdoor access point to be mounted above the building. Here is where the issues come in. 1) Not a mesh network. This is just a repeater, IF you can get it connected to your wifi network (I could not). a) I could not get it to connected my mesh wifi network. b) Could not get it to connected to the ISP wifi Would only work when connected to a router via an ethernet cable 2) No wifi 6 3) No where in the description does it tell the buyer they need to purchase two ethernet cables. a) A cable to go from the power block to the access point. (This one should have been included) b) A cable to go between the power block and all the way back to your home router. 3b defeats the purpose of having a mesh system. I did not want to run a ethernet cable over 200 yards from the house to my work shop. If I was going to do that, I could go with a much more inexpensive option. Just needing a router with an exterior wifi antenna. I wish there was an option for zero (0) stars, here why: 1) Not a mesh router/access point. It is a repeater. It might be able to use the same network SID. A true mesh access point does not needing to be hardwired back your mesh hub. I have a mesh network in my home. Only the unit designated as the hub needs to be connected to the internet provider's router. All the other access points use wifi 6 to connect to each other. No ethernet wiring back to the hub needed. 2) No wifi 6 as stated only 2.4 & 5. I wanted to use the wifi 6 as the backbone as I have with my other mesh networks. 3) Not telling buyers they need to have or buy an ethernet cable long enough to go between their home router and the power block for this access point. 4) Not including at least one ethernet cable. The one going between the power block and the access point. Also, this cannot be standard ethernet cable since it will be outside, exposedin to the weather. The Florida summer will dry out, the outer plastic coating in one season. This ethernet cable will need to be weather proof with UV protection.
