We have been through a couple of these. I hope your generator is under warranty; if not, take them out immediately and return this item. The first one we purchased -- the plugs were very lose and kept losing power. Very bad on our equipment too. We returned it and the second one arrived with one plug fitting "very" tight and one was lose. We needed to use it for an important Event that night. Under bad judgement (though our generator was insured) we used that kit. The generators were not even on for an hour and the power starting surging on our equipment. One of our employees, went out to see if an indicator light was on or if the plug had come partially out. Not even, the plug that fit too tight -- had melting inside our generator. The next morning when it was cooled down and okay to touch. We tried to take it out and the plug's end, was stuck (Melted) inside of our generator. We could have lost a huge account because of the Champion Parallel Kit. Luckily, we put our older Honda Inverter in the back of the truck. Just in case that kit malfunctioned. What are the odds?!?! Two back to back?!?! I don't know... I know we researched this item and felt comfortable with the first purchase. But I wouldn't get near one again, even if it meant no power for any Event!! Our equipment cost way too much -- to risk that.

Inverter Generator vs Direct drive Generators: 1. Direct drive or traditional generators produce electricity when the engine spins the alternator at 3600 RPM, a necessity to produce an AC type current. 2. Inverter Generators use the same technology as do traditional generator but add an inverter to produce the AC current. Therefore these generators can run at various rpm and not affect the Cycles per minute necessary for an AC current. Note: Some inverters are a modified sine wave and only switch the DC back and forth at a certain Hertz, usually 60Hz. Others, the more expensive ones have a true sine wave and produce a current that goes for 0-120Hz. These inverters tend to run certain electronic equipment better and do not damage them in the long term. 3. Finally, you cannot connect a traditional generator to another because it will not have the exact same frequency as the other due to the mechanical nature of its engine. However the inverters will communicate via frequency and sync with each other and produce usable electricity with Generator A and Generator B adding their running and peak watts together at the parellel output.

Q: Using this to parallel a 200961 2500w and 100263 3400w, will they output 5900 watts or 5000 watts?

Either generator will only put out 2500 or 3400 for a very very short time under ideal conditions. The wiring of the parallel kit would be rated for maybe 4800 watts tops.

Works as it should to give you the extra power to start a.c. units and high wattage appliances. Build quality seems good, we will see how it holds up. Amazon prices seem to change like the stock market, so it came down and was a good buy.

Works like a champ.

I use this on my champion 4000 and 2500 inverters. Clamp it on the handle, hook up the color coded wires and plug in your power cord. Works like a champ.

prefect for 30 amp rvs

I have a Geo Pro travel travel trailer and linking two Champion 2500W dual fuel inverters together is perfect for my needs. This 30-Amp ParaLINK Parallel Kit makes it all possible. I can run my AC and other appliances. It is much simpler to handle two smaller inverter generators.

Just what I needed

I bought this to help power my trailer with two AC units. It works perfect and has the 30 and 50 amp plug. My only gripe is that this did not fit the handles of my two 4500 watt generators. I had to use zip ties to mount it to make it work but that was not a deal killer for me.

parallels just fine

Worked well with 2 champion 2500W gens to provide enough power to run the the whole 30A RV with no problem. I also determined that If I didn't need the full 30A I can use it with just one generator and it provides power to the 30A RV outlet with no problem as long as I don't exceed the power from one generator.
