Bark lifter!!!
The knife itself is... Meh. The blades are ok, but not very sharp, I see how over time they will begin to wobble. BUT. It is the only budget knife on Prime (as of now), that has a very good bark lifter. After the first graft I realized how much I needed it all along. Great purchase, recommend to all grafters.

You get what you pay for
The knife has a few flaws but don’t let that stop you from purchasing it, with a little attention you can make it a solid decent knife.Remember this is not a $300 knife but $8 so don’t get to nit picky.I myself made some adjustments to the pins by tapping them with a small hammer against my vice so to round them a little more to be comfortable while in you hand, sharpened the blades, polished the bark lifting blade and now I’m satisfied with my purchase.

Both blades are double beveled
neither blade was sharp out of the box, and the bark lifter is fairly thick. took awhile with the belt sander to take them down to a single bevel (it takes awhile because you have to cool the blade often as to not burn the metal and ruin any hardening/tempering) i also hit the bevel of the bark lifter a few times with the belt sander, after a bit of working and honing i got both blades SUPER sharp, perhaps the sharpest knife i own (for now) and i'm really satisfied with the new shape of the bark lifter and love that it's on the handle so i won't close a blade over my finger while prying up some thick bark. the blades have some ugly machine marks on the surfaces, but i'm pretty over it since i have this knife working exactly as i want, i can't be bothered to polish the machine marks out. If you are looking for a single bevel grafting knife, this is not it, if you don't have a power tool like a belt sharpener or grinder w/flap wheel to "quickly" shape the blades, don't bother, it could take hours with a very course whet stone to take off the other bevel, that time is better spent at a job for a wage, take those wages and buy a knife with the shape you want out of the box.I do really like this knife now that i've reworked everything about it, but i bought 2 when i saw the cheap price, the second was going to be gifted to my father-in-law, but it seems a bit daunting to work that knife next and then wonder if he will actually use it. Seems like too much work to gift away because someone has shown an interest in grafting, almost rather buy him a victorinox and shrug off 1 hr of wages knowing it's a professional tool out of the box.

Better looking in person, really sharp and durable.
I've started carrying this as my go-to everyday knife around the farm. The silver tip is not sharp but is useful for prying small things apart and using as a screwdriver. I got it for tree grafting - works well for that, also.

Cheaply made
Blades not sharp. Pins are not flush with scales. I thought the bark lifter would fold back in the handle. Bad design.Hurts hand to cut with it.There is play (side to side) with the blades. I don’t think it will last long.Since I’m a blade smith I have made my own knife and will not be using this one except to point out errors in knife making to other blade smiths.
