This storage tin works great for keeping paperwork, dry and bad weather and clean.

After reading some of the reviews of this product I was a little hesitant to order for fear of some cheap, tinny, piece of crap. But, I figured I wasted $25 on dumber stuff so I ordered away. And I'm glad I did. I've been using this about 8 months now as an on the road forklift technician so I have put this thing through the ringer. It's been dropped, dragged, thrown, covered with hoses and parts and pretty much put through abuses that an aluminum clipboard probably shouldn't be put through. I will say I am very pleased with it's toughness. I don't give five stars easily. Out of the box it feels like a cheap product that would bend if the wind blew too hard on it.......wrong!! It is actually very sturdy and very tough. The metal clip to hold your papers has an excellent spring and still holds papers securely. The spring mechanism that holds the lid closed is as tight eight months later as it was out of the box. The inside is large enough to hold some pens and plenty of work orders and my clipboard needed no deburring as I see in other reviews. Not quite sure what that is all about. I was very pleased to find something made in the USA that was great quality, sturdy and priced right. Great job Saunders! If you make your living on the road like I do you will not go wrong buying this product.

This works great. Plenty of storage. I use it everyday. I don't abuse it or throw it around so I don't have any issues with it.

After reading some of the prior reviews, I was expecting that the lid would have come off during shipping! I was instead pleased to find a well made tough box. I think some people are surprised when they take it out of the box about how light the case is. It may seem flimsy at first; however, on examination I think it will take a lot of abuse. Unfair criticism. . . .One reviewer says that the case must be deburred prior to using or you might get cut. Obviously this is possible - - if you put your hand on a table, put as much weight as you can muster on a corner of the case and drag it across the back of your hand - you might be able to gouge yourself enough to bleed. I wouldn't write a critical review of a power saw because I cut my fingers off with it. The clip for holding papers on the top is generously wide and there are three strong springs for a tight clamp. This is American engineering and craftsmanship at its best. Order without concern. One small suggestion for the manufacturer. Make the thumb tab for opening the lid a little longer. In new condition, the catch is hard to release.

Super sturdy, well constructed clipboard. I keep it in the car to write up estimates for jobs. Tons of space for a couple of notepads, markers, pens, laser tape measure, a stamp, and so much more.
