Alternative to "You're soaking in it"
After one month of use...4.5 stars for me. This little guy is a real workhorse and has been the perfect fit for a small residence. I was very skeptical when my gf said, "please BUY IT." The set up was quick and very easy. I unscrewed the aerating filter on the kitchen faucet spout, clipped the hose mount onto the faucet, turned on the water and we were up and running. That is the extent of the set up in our case. (recommend to double check the tightening of the hose in the back of the DW to ensure no leaks - no issues I know of but I unscrewed the hose, added plumbing tape and re-tightened the hose before using the DW just to be sure)The interior of this little unit is surprisingly spacious. It actually does fit as many items as you see in the photo in the ad - truly. The only thing we've found it cannot accommodate is larger than average diameter plates. My dinner plates are large (crate and barrel 13"ers), too large to stand up in the dishwasher so either we have to lay them at more of an angle or hand wash them. Other than the plates everything else fits comfortably - big mixing bowls included. So far the results after washing have been of the same quality as the full size DW's I am used to. For the $$ this has been a BIG hit around our house and created many smiles vs facing down a post meal sink full of dirty dishes, hot soapy water and prune hands. If there is a downside; it's not small or light nor is it easy to move around so it resides on the counter between usages.

Should have bought this YEARS ago.
THE GOOD: I have to say, I was AMAZED by how clean this got our dishes. I thought I would just use it for plates and glasses, but I have put greasy frying pans in there and they have come out cleaner then I have seen them since I took them out of the box. I keep lowering the cycle setting, and the dishes continue to come out clean. I use powered detergent and a cheap rinse-aid and glasses come out spotless. If it fits in the thing, it gets clean (and you will be surprised what fits). The side rack flips up out of the way and the cutlery basket is removable so you can use the full capacity of the unit. It's super-quiet, it sounds like water boiling on the stove. Also, just having a dishwasher at waist-level makes it so much easier to unload and put dishes away than a full size one on the ground.ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT: The icons/settings are not very clear, I have to check the manual to see what the different settings are, and the light blinks when it is running and is solid went it's paused/waiting for you - that seems counter-intuitive to me. I haven't used the delay start function, since I don't really see a reason to. The handle felt a little flimsy when I opened it for the first time, I googled if there was a lock or something from shipping because I felt like I was going to break it, but a firm tug did the trick.OVERALL: None of its failings overshadow its strengths. Very happy with this purchase.

best amazon purchase ever, hands down
Literally the best purchase I've ever made. I HATE doing dishes by hand - seriously, hate it with a passion. I spent about two months researching and procrastinating before ordering this dishwasher, and I did not and do not currently regret it at all. I was nervous because of all the reports of leaking, and the first time I ran it mine did leak. But it was a super super simple fix - all I did was reattach and tighten the hoses. The attachments are made of plastic, not metal, so you have to expect a little fiddling will need to be done to get the fit right. The first time you run the dishwasher just run it on the rinse cycle and stand there and babysit it for a bit, tighten and readjust hoses and fixtures as needed and you should be good to go. The dishwasher came in perfect condition and it looks great - do not confuse 'silver' with stainless steel though, because if you have stainless steel kitchen appliances like I do the dishwasher will not match them. But I honestly don't care because the thing is so amazing. I have it up on my counter in the corner, kind of hidden from immediate view until you fully enter the kitchen. MAKE SURE YOU MEASURE THE SPACE WHERE YOU WANT TO PUT THIS MONSTER. It's pretty big, and counter heights are no freakin' joke. I'm lucky mine just fits under my counters, but if you get this dishwasher and it doesn't fit - like several of the reviewers on here - that is NOT the company's fault. Be an adult, take 5 minutes outta your day and measure your kitchen space before purchasing, it'll save you a huge headache. Also, everyone was right, large plates don't fit in this thing. I live in a large upstairs apartment and this dishwasher has been a lifesaver. Obviously built in or full-size models are preferable, but if you live on your own/with a small family/in an apartment, this thing is perfect. It is myself, my fiance and our two year old in our apartment, and if we use the dishwasher every day/multiple times a day depending on the content of the load(s) it keeps all our dishes in rotation. No complaints, this dishwasher is worth every penny.12/12/16 I still love my dishwasher, we haven't had any issues over the past 2 yrs, I recommend it to everyone who lives in a small place & hates hand washing their dishes ✨✨✨
