Giro Eclipse Spherical Helmet
Very nice helmet for biking with great ventilation for the summer rides. The straps make it easy to adjust the fit to your head making the helmet safe and comfortable.

Expensive but really good product
I opted for an Open Box purchase to save $$ so I did not pay full price. That said, I have been super happy with this helmet. It fits well, is lightweight and comfortable. I am a petite woman with a small head and the helmet adjusts just fine. I bought it because it came up on recommended lists for triathlons and cycling. Also, I did a long ride today and it was misty with a light rain. I was testing out some new sunglasses and guess I have to spray the lenses with lens cleaner because they fogged up and were useless. I couldn't wear them on my face but this helmet kept the rain out of my face (no wind factor).

Helmet endgame!
I have the kind of head that does not take kindly to helmets. At 59cm I hover between medium and large. Usually I have to chose between tight and uncomfortable or a one that wobbles and looks like Toad from Mario Bros. Ordering a helmet online is a huge gamble. I reluctantly tried the Eclipse in Medium and it fits like a like an absolute dream. No hot spots! It’s a bit more low profile than other helmets, so it looks great too. Furthermore, the double layer MIPS design is not only comfortable, it’s most definitely safer than my previous helmet, Bontrager Velocis. The best feature, however, may be the black magic level of ventilation while maintaining aero profile. I can immediately tell that air is much less turbulent as it quietly passes both over and through the helmet. This helmet really exceeded my expectations. I will use this for triathlons and as a daily driver in any kind of weather. I might even order another to swap out for different riding types. Just a few drawbacks: The entire rear securing mechanism is not very robust. The plastic is thin and the dial is noticeably lower quality than a Boa dial. This helmet does not extend to lower part of the occipital bone, so it leaves that area where head meets neck a little vulnerable. Neither of these seem to be problematic… that is until something breaks. Overall, the best helmet I’ve ever put on my head.

Fits and looks good
I spend a lot of time researching helmets and this time I was looking for a more aero helmet that still had good comfort and ventilation. The reviews were quite positive for this model so I decided to give it a go. Overall, I am super happy with the helmet. It looks a lot better than my previous Giro helmet which I felt made my head look like a mushroom the way the helmet bulged on the side. While there are less ventilation holes in the helmet I was still comfortable while riding in high-80-degree F temperatures for nearly 6 hours. Am I more aero than compared to my previous helmet? Who knows, but probably yes since this helmet is less "open," so I think this model is a good hybrid aero-ventilated helmet that I can use for all types of riding. I've owned many generations of Giro helmets and always found them to fit well. My one gripe with my previous helmet is that the foam pieces inside the helmet will start to come apart within less than 2 years. They look replaceable as they are velcro'd in, but I do wish these pieces would last longer.

Very comfortable fit
This is a nice-looking comfortable helmet that has high ratings. It could be a little lighter but is in the mid-range of weight for high-end helmets. It does create more wind noise than my S-Works Prevail (probably a good 5 years old) and is also slightly heavier. Overall I'm satisfied

The Best Helmet I have Ever Owned for a VAriety of Reasons
I have owned several Giro helmets in the past, but this helmet far exceeded my already impressive expectations. Extremely lightweight, low noise, aerodynamic, excellent fit, MIPS, great color schemes. I was able to dial in my helmet precisely and the fit was amazing. Riding, it is so quiet and I could feel the airflow moving appropriately. In a tuck position, I encountered very low noise and low resistance. I felt more secure with my MIPS and I love the color scheme choices (I chose black and red)!
