Q: The ad says made of stainless steel then says it is a zinc alloy. Does it say stainless or not on the package?

It is not stainless - it's a metal alloy, the same quality as you find in a grocery or liquor store. But it will hold up because it's just like another I've had for 20 years. I purchased this second one for a friend.

Q: Why are the corkscrews I see all identical? Just different brand names.

While they may look similar, I have purchased a few of these in the $10 to $13 range, and, they are lighter weight and don't pull the entire cork out on the first pull. This one is less flimsy and gets the entire cork, so it must have a longer shaft. You can't beat this one for $15. I bought a second one for future use and a third one for a present..

DD,I'm a big guy and love wine the arms have held up. The wings of wine have open several bottles flawlessly. It was a good buy for me.
