Q: Can this be stored in the fridge daily for water?

The carafe is double wall insulated. No need to keep it in the fridge.

Q: Do you suggest putting hot water in first to warm the carafe?

Actually I didn't after the first time using, I just rinsed it hot water then keep the hot water for about 12 hours to see if it kept the temperature, it cooled down a bit but still quite warm, then I just add boiling water in.
