These pickleballs are easy to see when it gets dark, extending play time and enjoying the slightly different experience of night time play. They play well and not a noticeable difference from other pickleballs. Be very careful to not insert the battery too far into the plug. Insert to the line or slightly beyond the line on the battery and carefully insert the plug into the led hole and ensure the threads are lined up perfectly before carefully and slowly screwing in until the light is on and the plug bottoms out just below the surface. If the battery is inserted too far into the plug, contact will not occur and damage to the plug slot may occur as the plug is attempted to be screwed in to make contact. The soft plastic is easily deformed if care is not taken. Just unscrew so contact is not made when not in use to save battery life. That said, they are very fun to play with when it gets dark, as they are easily seen. Just take care with the installation of battery/plug and you’ll have an enjoyable experience.

Reacts good off the paddel has a slight wobble but does not effect play. night pickelball is much better than in the day.

Overall, these light-up pickle balls are good with only some minor caveats. The whole point is to allow the fun to continue even into the night! I live near a pair of tennis/pickleball courts that are almost always occupied during the afternoon and evening hours. The lights are off at 9 P.M. every night at which point the courts become available to use. This is where these light-up pickle balls come in! First the good: - easy to see at night - decent weight and bounce that will not throw you off from standard pickle balls - long battery life + a good amount of included batteries if you only use one ball at a time The not so great: - proprietary battery design that needs to be screwed into the ball with an included tool. - susceptible to permanent damage due to overtightening of the battery which will cause the electrical contacts to bend and cause the ball not to light up anymore - batteries can only be sourced from the original manufacturer With all that in mind, it is still a good product and I've gotten my money's worth of enjoyment out of them.

The small part on the inside of the ball which the light bulbs screw into breaks loose and falls into the middle of the ball while playing. The small part which holds the light bulb on the inside of the ball is only attached to the ball by four tiny contact points which break when you play. First the light will start to hang sideways when you break some but not all of the four points that it connects to the inside of the ball. Then all four break and the part holding the light falls into the middle of the ball and bounces around inside the ball. I opened a new four pack of these balls with my friends last Monday evening. We played less than a game before the light bulb holder with the light bulb was broken from the ball and loosely bouncing around inside of the ball instead of still being attached to the inside of the ball. Then we tried another ball which also broke. I left that night and my friends were playing with a ball that had not broken yet and I took my last unbroken, unused ball home with me. These balls are cheap. The tiny part which holds the light bulb breaks off of the inside wall of the ball. I've attached a photo of a broken off piece from the inside of one of the balls. You can see the four tiny parts which broke off from the inside of the ball. I cut the ball open to retrieve this little broken off piece.

These are AMAZING!!! They work great, especially at twilight.

The bounce seems identical to that of a traditional ball, using an unscientific 6-foot drop test. The little battery is easy to install. I remove it completely after playing to avoid unintentional activation even when the battery has been mostly unscrewed. Nice bright light. Durability seems fine, but time will tell.

Play very nicely after dark. Have great time. However, after 40 minutes or so, light off due to plastic supports to light assembly broken. I believe those support can be strengthened to prevent.

The first pickelstar balls I bought - the batteries didn’t work at all. We assumed maybe we waited too long. So we ordered 4 new ones. Only 3 of the batteries work. Don’t think I will order again.

Can’t wait to use them on the Outside Court.

The Pickleballs came with no lights and no screw.

Disappointed with this buy. Such a great idea but missing pieces. The package did not contain the battery, lights, or key. Not worth the price and will be returning.
