LifeStrawHome – Water Filter Dispenser, 18-Cup, BPA-Free Plastic, Tested to Protect Against Bacteria, Parasites, Microplastics, Lead, Mercury, and a Variety of Chemicals

This Lifestraw filter was recommended by Wirecutter, the NY Times consumer testing service, as was Brita. I prefer to a pitcher like the Brita. This sits in my fridge, dispenses with two fingers- one to push the button and one on top to counter that pushing; took a day to master. Easily re-filled: remove from fridge and add several cups water through the sliding window on top. The water is clear and fresh, a marked improvement from the tap. Exactly as the directions promise, after cleaning the unit it fills slowly at first but quickly after the first few fills. Have used it daily a month or two. Very glad I purchased it, wish I'd done it sooner. Unsolicited review. No "discounts" offered.

I like this system, maintenance is easy and I'm ok buying new filters. I don't buy them quite as much as they say to cause you don't really need to. It's a good balance and the product is nice.

Excellent water filter. Water tastes like nothing after going through this filtration! We didn’t realize how much junk we were drinking before using it. Easy to stick in the fridge, easy to use.

I like this product but I just wonder why it is made of plastic

It filter out down to 2 microns eliminating all bacteria and the counter top charcoal filter revove lead and other harmful metals and chemical. To be on the safe side I fill it using water from a pur water filter.. Ihave a friend that has the same unit one countyover because they keep failing to let them know of boil water advisories.

Very disappointed. We are fans of this company’s declared mission and we have bought more than 5 of these for different home/work locations and we are finding out the following- In cold mountain climates, even inside a heated home, it stopped filtering- The others we have bought for regular city and suburban heated locations and with minimal to regular use, the filters have either stopped working or filtering drops at a time- Worst disappointment is that as a repeat customer, we reached out to the company several weeks ago and are still waiting to hear from themWe tried all the troubleshooting tips, and even some of the suggestions by other customers - but still having problems with all of the ones we have bought thru here,Very disappointing on a company and product we have even recommended to friends and social media followers.Maybe their manufacturer changed or the company was sold, but whatever it is - very sad on a product and company whose mission we supported thru our purchased.

Love life straw products! They are amazing and worth the price. We ran some test on the water that is filtered and the test came out good. Compared to Brita please invest more money on the water filters because Brita is not worth the money it cost but Lifestraw is a good product

I love my LifeStraw counter top filter. My association seems to have ongoing issues with our well water and I am not comfortable drinking it from the tap, cooking or making coffee. After much research on counter top filters I landed on this one. Life Straw provides clean drinking water around the world in third world nations. So I decided on this for my water issues. The water tastes good, is crystal clear, has no tap water odor and makes beautiful clear ice!! This is my second one. And the absolute only complaint I have with this product is the spigot. It uses a spring which does get weak after a year or so and will begin to drip. If they would fix that one issue, it's almost perfect!! I am actually looking at their bigger one for my next one!
